  • Grade A1, the best grade available for a clear finish. Without defects for all woods except Aromatic Cedar. By nature of the wood, Aromatic Cedar does have knots.
  • Approx. 1/4 inch thickness MDF core with one side having the specified natural wood veneer. The reverse side may have the same species or a different but only one side is guaranteed of being the listed species. This is of the highest quality and although some wood species are grown internationally, the boards are produced domestically.
  • These boards offer more value compared to double sided veneers if only one side will show.

    • Nice veneer, tough to cut with glowforge, wish it was 1/8".

Good price for the product. I was hopeful that it would be easy to cut given that they specify glowforge settings. I ran 24 tests trying to find good settings. For the mahogany I had decent results with full power, 140 speed, and 2 passes ...with focus set at 0.12. I was able to get it to cut, but there was more charring than I'd like to see. Ok, this is a updated review. 1. Don't try to cut this on a diode laser wont do very well. 2, Cut on a co2 60watt and cut beautifully and engraved great. I will be ordering more.

I bought these to use for projects with my laser. The pieces had minimal warpage and cut well, but hidden in the middle of the 10 pack were five pieces with horrible knots completely through the veneer exposing the MDF core. A couple were along the edge. Others towards the middle and one having a strip of veneer missing almost the entire length of the board! Nothing like the seller's photographs! I understand there being imperfections with wood, but when one pays a premium for specialized wood, I'd expect something closer the listing's photos. ... show more

Nice product. Good value. The veneer was chipped on a few of the boards, but not too bad. I polished them up and that beautiful walnut color came through very nicely. These will make great signs for my friend's wedding.
