I bought this to traverse over a small pond I am building to put water Lillies in. It was a LOT of screwing and bolting and the parts should be labeled with masking tape PRIOR to assembling! The posts MUST be in order - that part os important to know and the so do the arches they rest on. One thing there isn't are pre-drilled pilot holes. Please do the pre drilling prior to screwing the slats down on the walkway. Otherwise, the wood will split. I heard this potentiality when I used my first screw... and then from that point forward I predrilled. also buying a couple of shorter screws would be helpful because they collided with the bolts (you'll see what I mean when you begin the assembly) Otherwise, this bridge is SO much more quality than many I have experienced ...! You can't beat the price and on Prime..., well you get it...it's great! I got it in 2 days! The box is a cinch to carry btw...Not heavy at all. Took about 2-3 hours of methodical but not manic assembly time. ... show more

a lot of work to put together. Took me over 3 hours,i cursed but i hung in there. When you see a rectangler box where all the piceces came in you see one is in for a tireing project. Alot of effort in puting in the 63 wood screws and several holes were not drilled in the right location.I had to drill holes i centameter or two to the left or right to get it right.     • Screws are not sufficient
I love the bridge and I bought it to replace one I had that rotted. However, within a very short period of time I noticed that some of the boards were loose. Upon checking, I found that the screws had broken. If you are having this sitting somewhere and never walked on, maybe not a problem, but I ended up having to take up the bridge and replace every single screw with new longer screws that were about 1/2 inch longer and stainless steel. Of course, in a very short period of time with lots of rain, boards shrink and the holes no longer line up so we ended up having to replace every screw on the walk way and drill new holes for some. My recommendation is that if you are going to actually walk on this, buy new screws before you put it together so that you do not end up having to redo the walkway. After comparing several Bridges I chose this one as it could hold twice the weight as other ones that look the same. This one has more reinforcement under neath. Was easy to put together, looks great and should hold up to the Arizona Sun!
