I like how they feel in my hands and the way these cues stay as solid as a one piece version. They are aesthetically well made and more than good for an entry level player as I consider myself to be. This review is for the "Stainless Steel Joint Billiard Cue Maintains Straightness Long-Term | Billiards Accessories for Professional" that I ordered via the Vine program. I like to keep a few inexpensive but decent-playing cue sticks at home for guests, and this two-cue set seemed like a good value at roughly thirty-five dollars per cue. The design is simple and understated with an all-black look and minimal decals. Both cues measured 57 inches, which is a little shorter than a standard American cue, and they use brass ferrules and joints along with a 10.5 mm tip. Combined with the slightly shorter length, they feel closer to English snooker cues than typical pool cues. Weight-wise, both cues in my set came in around eighteen and a half ounces and were matched within one-eighth of an ounce, which is nice for consistency. There are a few build issues worth noting. The finish on the butts had some small bubbles and bits of grit in the clear coat, which makes them look a little rough up close. The shafts, on the other hand, were smoother than expected at this price and had a standard conical taper. I would have preferred a pro taper, but the narrow tip diameter keeps the conical taper from feeling too bulky. The joints were the biggest concern. While the butts and shafts were very straight when rolled separately, the joint pins were not installed or faced properly. Once assembled, each cue developed a noticeable wobble. It is not severe enough to ruin playability, but it should not be present on a brand-new cue. The product description also shifts between calling these cues “full carbon” and “fiberglass,” but they are definitely fiberglass. Carbon fiber shafts feel smooth like glass, while fiberglass has a slightly matte texture that creates more friction on the hand. Anyone specifically looking for carbon fiber should look elsewhere. After shaping the tips to a proper dime curve and chalking them, I found that these cues actually play reasonably well. The narrow tip makes it easy to apply spin and place the cue ball precisely, though it takes some adjustment if you are used to standard pool cue tips. The hit feels quite hard, and I could not identify what leather the tips are made from. The most unusual part, though, is the sound: each shot produces a high-pitched ringing or pinging noise, almost like a muted bell. It does not seem to affect the hit, but I found it distracting. Overall, these cues are “good enough” for the price. They play better than expected but have several quirks in construction and feel. This is the kind of cue I would recommend for intermediate skill level players that have outgrown the most basic entry level cues and want something a little nicer without breaking the bank. The carbon fiber is noticeable immediately, it is so much lighter than the traditional wood one! Plus it’s very durable, feels great in the hand, and looks great too. I really like the way the two halves fit together, it’s a strong joint. Highly recommend this for mid to even expert level players! ... show more

This plays so amazing. The quality is up there with main stream made sticks. I’m not very good with a snooker tip, but it is a good quality tip on it. I’ve let others play with it and they absolutely love it and couldn’t believe I got it from amazon.
