An elderly friend of mine had to go into assisted living and couldn't keep his 12yr old dog, so I took him. Coco is used to a big fenced in yard, and since my yard isn't fenced I needed a space to put him in when I can't walk him, and this worked PERFECTLY! I can't believe how nice it turned out, and he loves his little personal space. It's the perfect height for him and he doesn't even attempt to get out. It was super easy to put up and quite sturdy. The latch gate opens and closes easily and is secure. I ended up buying another set to add to this one to take on camping trips. This is a very well-made sturdy fence. It slides into the grass very easily because it’s pointed. It can be easily assembled by one person. It is heavy though, so the box itself will be heavy, but if you take them out one at a time, you can do it yourself. It’s a nice fence.

It's a great solution for my yard. It went in easy, and seems sturdy. The only thing i would suggest, is a larger walk in gate. We had an extra panel, which we are using for a gate, but had to come up with a way to fasten it. You could sell so many more of these, if the door was the same size as the panels. Why isn't someone making them that way? Ours crosses over our patio, so people who need more space to get in, need a full sized door panel. ... show more

    • Nice looking fence but with too-shallow posts

All told, a great-looking, easy-to-install fence. We're using it as part of our anti-deer strategy--though not tall enough on its own, but it's part of a psychological "3-D deer barrier" * combined with a motion-detecting sprinkler-- that's been effective so far. I like that it's at once solid-looking and yet see-through. It does the job, but keeps the space open and inviting. The only reason for the 4-star instead of 5-star rating is that the poles are too short for our sandy soil. The wind blew it down on the first day. So I had to hammer them deeper in, which means I had to bend the poles to accomodate the plastic nubs on the end... which in turn makes my fence less than 100% plumb. Next year, I' going to find a narrow rebar to replace these posts, drive them in three feet (and plumb) to make the fence closer to permanent. Still, less hassle than digging fence posts. And no permit required! * re: 3D Deer Barrier: Deer have terrible depth perception, so staggering fences of different heights with tall shrubs, irregularly placed lawn furniture, etc. will make them weary of entering the yard. ... show more

I actually bought enough to go front the house to the garage so the puppy can't venture too far into the backyard. Works great and easy to put up. Might have to get another box to expand until I can fix the back fence.
