I recently got back into snowmobiling after a 5 year break. Historically, I’ve always used a motocross helmet with a heavy balaclava. All of my riding buddies have this R4, and they had recommended it to me. This year, I purchased the R4 helmet and it is absolutely game changing. We just did a 100 mile day and I cannot express how much more enjoyable this helmet made snowmobiling. The heated shield, modular flip up, various vent options, breath box, and clasp system are all fantastic. I feel as though the product is very well thought through. All the cords for the heated shield are included in the box. I do not typically write reviews, but I wanted to put this out there in case anyone is on the fence about not wanting to spend the money on a nice helmet (like me for so many years), I highly recommend taking the plunge! ... show more

I took this out on a single trip and the screw holding the modular component popped out. This makes the helmet unusable and the parts to fix it are hard to get. Stay away from 509
