I don’t typically write reviews, but I have an outdoor cat that picked us several years ago. And I spent a lot of time reading reviews to pick out this heater for him to have for the winter months. So the reviews helped me. I have been pretty pleased with this heater. It is easy to use. But most of all, it keeps our cat comfortable. He has a storage room in our garage that we have set up for him with a cat door, so he can come and go as he pleases. And we put this heater in the storage room for him. We keep it set as 70 degrees and turn it off of course when it is not needed. We check the timer to make sure it’s not close to shutting off as needed. But I would say this heater keeps the storage room at a noticeably more comfortable temperature than the outside, usually between 50-60 degrees. Combined with a heated cat house, I think that our cat stays safe and warm in low temperatures. We have not experienced temperatures in single digits yet. I will say in that case I always bring him inside and probably still would do that now, even with the heater. But he is happiest outside. And we have used this heater in 20-degree weather, placed in front of his heated cat house (a safe distance from it) very successfully. We did have to place the heater on the wall lower to the ground for our cat to be able to feel the heat directly if he desires/needs to. Because heat rises I suppose. This heater isn’t going to heat up the storage room to 70 degrees and maintain that temperature, but it works well for the way we want to use it! It may be different in a dog house or smaller space. Our storage room is an actual room in the garage, so bigger than a dog house for sure. But I am glad that I got this heater for our cat and I am happy with how it has worked out! It does require an outlet.

Only had this heater for two months and Wow it works great. We have two feral cats. Temperature inside cat house at 85f and 20 degrees outside. Expecting 15f overnight. I have a RF thermometer monitoring the temperature and it is right on. Very easy to program, hang and well made. Its quiet and a great value. I wished I had this last winter when the temperature dropped to -15f.

This might work great in the city but it's a piece of crap for the country. The cord and temp controller isn't water proof and to be honest just almost any dog will chew through the flimsy spring the cord runs through. The controller is mounted half way down the 9 foot cord and there's nothing to prevent it from getting chewed up. The unit has a temperature sensor that plugs into the main unit. Not only is the sensor unprotected but the connectors plug in on the heater is loose and feels like it's not even mounted to anything inside the heater box. It's going to be 16 degrees F tonight and I'm stuck with a piece of crap with no install instructions and no customer service. If I wasn't so panic'd about the situation this non responsive Chinese scam company would be a joke to laugh about. The only saving grace is we boutmght it through Amazon and can send it back. That doesn't keep my dogs warm in 16 degree weather though. I wanted to up date this review and say that the company finally got back with me AFTER the coldest night of the year so far. They claim that the controller is water proof but didn't have any kind of comments on it being unprotected nor did they make any comment about the loose plug on the heater. I also failed to mention that the lowest you can set this heater is 70 degrees. Heck, we don't even keep out house that warm in the winter. In my mind this just adds to my concern that this unit is a fire hazard.

This heater worked as it said. But had to return for personal reasons. I had no problem getting our money back. Great customer service which is very important to me.

I was worried it won't work but everything was great, it's not loud, easy thermostat control, quality seems to be good so far, it can get very hot inside the dog house thou definitely adjust the heat level, the heater itself does get a bit hot if on for a long time but not burning hot, very easy to install

I bought this heater for the tortoise. It sits on the inside of his dog/tortoise house. Kit keeps him comfy in the cold weather. Works really well.

Used in 112 inch by 112 inch dog pen with thrown up sides to wind block out weather. Kept dogs happy and water source stayed liquid in mid teens cold spell. Placed 4 ft out of range from large doggy chew raptor puppies . Very happy with this item so I bought one for my cats enclosed sleeping area.
