I bought this CNC router to tackle some projects that I've been wanted to work on for while. Mainly wood and acrylic pieces. This machine came with several missing parts, missing screws and the one of the extrusion arms was slightly bent. It's a very basic design, but lacks some very important features. Folks that want to begin with CNC should get a starter kit, but not this one. I am going to keep the spindle, but everything else is garbage! There are much better options out there. DO NOT BUY

This 4540 CNC is a decent entry level CNC (and a good value when it’s on sale). Assembly went okay but the pictures and parts could have been labeled better. The only issue I had was that the -X axis limit switch was damaged. I saw this same problem in a review of another 4540 CNC clone. I contacted the seller and sent them a photo of the damaged part. They were quick to respond that they would send a replacement part from China and it would take at least 2 weeks. Received the limit switch 18 days later. They also sent an extra switch because there are two different switch orientations. The CNC was still usable with the broken limit switch. I’ve included a photo of the dragon file they included with the cnc. This was cut from a 2x4 scrap using the included bits.

Using the CNC I am getting this message during my Z probe G38.2Z1-2F10 < error:1. Changed the value of z to 19mm with is the high of the probe, still getting the same error message: G38.2Z19-2F10 < error:1. Only difference is am getting a 19 instead of a 1 on Z. Look for the error at ChatGPT: It seems like you're encountering an error during the Z probe operation on your CNC machine. The error code error:1 typically indicates a problem with the command or a failure to execute it properly. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot this issue: Check your command syntax: Ensure that the syntax of your G-code command for the Z probe (G38.2Z19-2F10) is correct. Make sure there are no typos or missing parameters. Verify hardware connections: Double-check all connections related to your Z probe, including wiring, connectors, and any sensors or switches involved in the probing process. After spending my morning setting this thing up and learning how to use it, I go and run a job. It seemed to work fine. However after the first job, the Z Axis stopped working. X and Y still work and make a noise when I try to run the Z. I have no idea what the issue is. Giving it 2 stars because the milling was good and 1 star because the setup was OK. But have to dock for the immediate failure. EDIT: MYSWEETY has offered to send me a new controller board. They have courteous and prompt customer service. Parts ship from China and can take a few weeks to get to the states. Hopefully sooner. I'll update once it's back up and running.

Spindle died after a few weeks. Amazon will not send a replacement machine you have to ship it back first, contacted the manufacturer and their response was to be patient on getting a new one
