I've done quite a few batteries now, and can say this works excellent. As it heats up, you may have to turn down the power, because it burns through thin zinc. I can even use it on original M12 and M18 batteries, as long as it's hot. The first couple of hits won't go through, but after about 4 hits, it is hot enough to go through those. The resistance changes as it heats up. Battery life is good, I only have to recharge it every once in a while. Great value and seems to be durable.

This would have come in handy more times than I like to recall. It is really the only way to replace faulty batteries in so many devices and keep them out of a landfill. My first time using it, I went with the standard settings and it worked perfectly. You do need to be careful not to touch the probes together, and this is a powerful welder. I also found the pricing reasonable for a hobbyist welder like this and the small size and being cordless all add to a good purchase.

The welding performance itself is great — strong, reliable welds across different nickel strip thicknesses. The 30 power levels give you good control depending on the material. The one drawback is battery longevity. It drains faster than expected during extended use, so it's not ideal if you're doing a large battery pack build in one sitting without access to a charger. That said, for the weld quality you get at this price point, it's still a worthwhile buy. Just be aware of the battery limitation going in.

It came with a good charge on it, I only had to charge for about an hour. After using I I found that it seems to work well with the setting between 5 and 6 on a full charge on connecting pre leaded batteries. It would be nice if there were some initial settings and as a product improvement a set or two of clips to hold the electrodes to the side of the case for storage. Overall Im pleased with the purchase,seems to be made well and does good job, but I'm new to rebuilding battery packs.

This worked well for the first battery i welded in. Then it started getting too weak to do anything and now it does nothing except beep. I tried charging for a few hours but nothing. Menues all work and the battery indicator says it's full. But it does not work at all.

I received the welder and like other reviews it would not turn on or charge via USB. Took the cover off and charged the lipo battery via a power supply. It then worked fine with the nickel strips provided. However the welder was not powerful enough for me to weld some thicker strips I had separately for some 32700 batteries. I returned the welder.

Works very well, and quick. I was able to weld all my batteries to make it into a 48v system. No issues, but it does get a bit hot after a while, recommend well ventilated and cool area to help with heat dissipation of the welder.
