This is a UVC Light you install into your Duct work where your Furnace and AC unit is. My home has 2, 1 for each unit. My daughter (31) and I installed them in Less than 8 minutes and By Far these are the best purchases I have ever made. My daughter is 3 stage 4 Cancer Survivor and her immune system is severely compromised, which used to somewhat control our visits with others in our home.     • Excellent product but you must have access to screw bulbs in after installation
I like everything about this product. Well made, electrically sound, and fairly straight forward to install. However, you must screw the bulbs into the socket after you install the base unit. The material on my HVAC was also very thick, too thick for the base to go thru so I just carved a slight depression in the same footprint as the base and all was well. So, when you select the location for installation, place it on the downstream side of where the filter goes so you can reach in to screw in the bulbs. If your setup will not allow for than, you may have to make some kind of small access door. ... show more

    • There's not a lot of instructions on how to use this.
My husband installed this product with ease. We turned it on and then after a while ran the a/c. There's a smell for the first time using it that reminds me of when you turn the heat on for the first time of the cold season. The product detail says it's ozone free. I read a review that someone said after a few days it was putting off ozone, but it sounded like they had it on 24 hours a day. The description says only use it three times a week, the problem is there's no time given of how long to leave it on. We turn it on and wait a while for the lights to be at optimum, 30 minutes max. Then we run the a/c or fan for a while. Maximum time we have our lights on is 1 hour. If your worried about it putting off ozone, I believe there's an air quality sensor you can purchase online somewhere to keep checking your ozone layers. ... show more

Love this item. I installed it on a connecter in my AC unit and turns on when the AC turns on. I can really tell the deference with such a think working in my house.

I have not yet installed in ducting. Overall item is simple to use and mounting looks easy enough as I have the tools needed. I was not too impressed with the intensity of these UV bulbs. They claim to be 25 watts each, but I have my doubts... much weaker. In any event i will install and see how well it works. The item also claims to consume 3 amps @ 120vac. If it is as good as they claim, I may possibly buy 2 more. ... show more

The product itself was fine, however it did not meet my needs so I wanted to return it. It was past the 30-day return policy so Amazon was no help, so I contacted the seller.
