Bought these for our daughters wedding and they were great. The quality is great, they hold up well to loads of food. The colour was exactly what our daughter wanted and she was very pleased with how they turned out. They guests even complimented us on the quality as most events have cheap plates that do not hold up well and food slides off because the plates bend/break.

I decided to go with these decorative placemats instead of charger plates — we used them for an outdoor wedding reception on a windy day (~17mph winds) and they weren't impacted by the wind at all. They brought a nice splash of color to the red table cloths. The neat thing I noticed about them is that the backside is still metallic, but a lighter shade of the gold. If you wanted, you could flip them over if you felt the gold on the front was too yellow ... you would see the fibers of the fabric backing if you flipped them, but IMO it's not that big of a distraction. After the reception, most of them were still in such pristine condition that I picked them up and saved them to use again in the future.

Think of the thinnest paper you can, and then make it even thinner. That's how these disposable placemats feel. Despite this, I still like them and they will work well enough for my wedding as a substitute for plate chargers. I just want to let everyone know they are pretty thin because I saw another review saying they stayed in place during strong winds, which I find hard to believe. Luckily, my event is indoors, so it won't be an issue. They are pretty wide in size which was a plus.

I used these in replace of charger plates for my wedding. I saved tons of money and was able to recycle them to use again for another event. The size is great as it will be bigger than your normal dinner plate, about the size of a traditional charger plate. They are thin so when handling them, handle with care. Quality is great as none of mines tore. I will purchase again and recommend. Great value for your Money!
