This doesn't work as well as I had expected or maybe I haven't got the full swing of it. It certainly is better than no vacuuming the dryer. Years ago I watched in shock to see our dryer catch on fire from the lint trapped inside. Flames came up and over the dryer in our basement. I was fortunate then as the ceiling which was our floor upstairs didn't catch fire. I never forgot it. I wanted this to work well. I have tried and failed over the years to vacuum this new dryer but none of my small tubes or thin brushes worked. This tube certainly gets further down and maybe the issue is that I don't have built up. I clean the liner after each use. The hose attachment worked a little better on my outside dryer vent. I purchased this product when I replaced my lint filter on my dryer-just thought I would try it out. The dust/fuzz/etc that was pulled out of that area, I was in shock! When I received it, I just tried it out, it filled up 1/2 of my vacuum canister and when I did it a 2nd time (back to back) it got out 1/4 of the canister. I, apparently, never knew this was a thing and something that was needed and was very skeptical about it-thinking it was a "fad" item. Not sure how much the actual vacuum comes in to play with this but it will now be part of my vacuum routine, vacuum the floors then clean the dryer. The one thing I will note, the wire "guide" was not much of a help-it didn't hurt but it was easier for me just to move the hose around. I would definitely recommend this! ... show more

I am aware of the dangers of not properly maintaining and cleaning a dryer, so I try to clean out the lint trap of my dryer after each use. However, I recently noticed a buildup of lint in the lower portion of the lint trap, so I finally decided to get a dryer vent cleaner kit. There was nothing in particular that made this kit different than any other brand, but I selected this one due to the price and because I read that the guide wire was helpful for controlling the hose. Note: I am rating this dryer vent cleaner kit as 2.5 (rounded up to 3 stars) because it was easy to attach to my vacuum and it did remove some of the lint at the bottom of the lint trap. I deducted stars though, because the guide wire did not really help me to maneuver the hose, the hose kept getting clogged (it would be nice if the hose opening was a bit bigger) so it took me longer than it should have and I wish my purchase also came with a storage bag to help store the kit. I ended up using a combination of this kit and my vacuum attachments to complete the job. ... show more

It is small but it cleans my expensive dryer very well, especially all corners of the filter compartment . I could connect it to big and small size vacuums. The unit can in turn be used to clean the Dyson's bag less vacuum, around the narrow areas of the round dust container. I don't know if my dryer vent is just really clean, my vacuum doesn't have enough sucking power, or if the product doesn't really work well. It's actually very simply but I expected it to reach further down my dryer vent shaft to get more lint out. My house is older and the vent hasn't been professionally cleaned in all the time I've lived here so there should be some accumulation of lint. I tried using the product and nothing came out. If there is lint, it must be much further than this item will reach. For me, it was a waste of money. ... show more
