  • Sturdy Step Stool
Color: Black Size: 3 Step
This handy stool arrived well packaged in a right-sized corrugated box with just a thin piece of cellophane wrapping inside to protect the finish. It arrived completely assembled and ready to use. It has a sturdy metal frame with plastic steps. The legs have very thick rubber caps at the bottom and a well padded grab handle at the top. Initial impression is that the stool is sturdy enough to support the advertised 250 pound maximum load. It stays planted wherever you put it once you fully extend the steps. It took a pretty good shove to make sure the top two steps were fully extended and locked it place but this may get easier with repeated use. I can reach up to standard ceiling heights when standing on the top step. This prompted the following observations: - While the metal frame is quite strong, I wish the steps had a metal supporting structure too. As you can see in the photos, they are molded plastic with an egg crate pattern underneath. While they are strong now, they could weaken and crack with age. - The top step has a handy carry handle molded into it. - The top grab handle can only be teach from the first two steps. Hold onto a wall or other immovable object when ascending/descending or standing on the top step. - The stool folds flat for storage. I keep mine in a 2-1/2 gap between two cabinets. - Calling this a stool is really a misnomer because the angle and position of the grab handle interferes with a proper seating position. When reading the usage instructions (which are primarily an exhaustive list of what NOT to do), I got a bit of a chuckle. The instructions seem written for a British audience owing to use of the word "whilst" and listing duty rating in kilograms (kg) and stones (st) but not in pounds (lb). ... show more

  • Fantastic for the vertically challenged
Color: Black Size: 3 Step
Just for context I am 4’11 so literally everything in my house tends to be out of reach for me. I have plenty of stools that are the one step kind but they tend to not be enough most of the time. This is perfect. I have three levels of height to choose from. I now do not have to rely on my husband for many other things that I might want to do or hang. I love being able to be more independent in my own home. It is very sturdy and the steps have a very good non slip grip to them which I love. It folds up to be quite thin. I was able to place it in the space between the wall and the fridge which is a tight fit. The only issue is when you try to get it to open and pop it into its secure place it is a bit difficult and took me a few tries. I definitely love this! ... show more

  • Love that it's light, wide, and has 3 steps, no locking mechanism and can be hard to fully open
Color: Black Size: 3 Step
I thought I was doing something wrong at first, but it is indeed a bit difficult to get this to open entirely. It looks like it might be, but you kind of have to pay close attention and exercise due diligence to ensure it's pushed all the way down and open for it to be sturdy and able to be stepped on. On top of that, is there even a way to lock it open for safety's sake? So that leaves me more than a little apprehensive about using it, which is sad cause I like that it's lightweight, wide, has the 3 steps vs the 2 that similar ladders have, and is otherwise nice to use. I'm going to continue to use it and have so far with no issues, but I think under the circumstances I'm just going to have to be extra careful with it to make sure it's opened properly since there's no lock. ... show more

  • Handy step stool
Color: Black Size: 3 Step
I needed a small step stool to reach some plants that are mounted high on our living room wall. This one is the perfect height for me to water them. It's not very heavy like the full length ladder we have, which is one of the reasons why I wanted it. The lightweight frame makes it easier for me to set up and put away as it isn’t as strenuous to lift. Opening and locking it in place can be a little stiff at first, but I haven’t had any issues. The company logo on the top step is curling up a little (glue isn’t sticking to the plastic step as well) but this is a minor issue as it doesn’t impact the overall functionality. This 3-step ladder works well for my purposes and seems to be pretty sturdy. I can tuck it away in the kitchen closet with ease. ... show more

  • sturdy but does not lock in place
Color: Black Size: 3 Step
this is a very sturdy step stool and lets me actually reach the top of my cabinets without having to climb on the counter. I have 2 issues with this step stool- 1: it doesn't lock once the steps are in place, meaning the steps can fold back up when you are standing on them; 2- it doesn't "open and close" very easily and takes both hands and both feet for me to pull it open and to close the steps back up again. It still lets me get done what I need to do, but could be just a bit better. ... show more

  • Good little ladder
Color: Black Size: 2 Step
This ladder does just what it says, no more no less. It's great for apartment use, in a dorm room, or in the office when you need to get up high. The only con I have is that I wish the handle was taller. I'm 5'10 and when I stand on the first step, the top of the handle is at my knees; I would definitely say exercise caution if you're standing on the top step that you don't overbalance because you don't have a handle to hold. Other than that, great buy. ... show more

  • Good but not great
Color: Black Size: 3 Step
Everything about this ladder works as it should except for one thing. Pushing the steps into place while opening it can be hard to do. It doesn't always want to click down and takes some force to get the steps to go all the way down. Most times I find I have to step on the actual ladder with my body weight to get the steps to go down completely. A little fault in an otherwise good ladder with good support for various weights. ... show more
