This set looked like it was going to satisfy a number of gaps in our pizza arsenal. The stone is 13 inches as advertised. I had seen other reviews that said it was only 12. Unfortunately, the peel and the parchments that come with it are in fact 12 inches. I thought that was a little odd since we do not use corn meal or any other floor on the stone so the parchment is critical and why would you have a Peel that is smaller than the stone diameter? The handle on the Peel is also too short. So while functional and of decent quality I dropped it a star because of the characteristics that missed the mark.

This is a great pizza stone. Perfect size not only for frozen or homemade pizzas, but you can put almost anything on there. Garlic bread, fries, just about anything cooks great. The more you use it, the stone will become seasoned (brown) which is what you want in order to create a non-stick surface. It did have a chemical smell, but I followed directions to pre-season before the first use....the smell will eventually burn off. I did it 4x.
