I ordered these to brine my Christmas turkey. The bags are very sturdy and held a 22 pound turkey and brine overnight in the frig. I slipped everythig into a clean 5 gallon bucket to make handling it easier.

These bags are thick enough to contain the brining fluid and also don't easily puncture (i.e a wing or leg sticking out isn't going to push through). They easily held my 20 lb turkey and it was a snap to dump the solution by picking up the bag without worrying about it leaking.

These bags did what they were supposed to do! I was pleasantly surprised at the quantity and thickness of each bag, they were large size so if you have a pretty big turkey you will be fine- the only things that stopped me from giving 5 stars is I wish they came with closures like twist ties or some other closing mechanism- great value though! ... show more
