This unit is very sturdy and holds mags like a stingy Ebenezer Scrooge. The colors also match my other kit and it is a easy install on a war belt. I look forward to years of service out of this mag pouch. Highly recommended!

    • Decent pouches but slight modification had to be done

If you don't want to spend the money for the Esstac, this is a decent substitute. Can be used for left/right handed people. Just have to get the nylon insert out and flip it around. Velcro have decent grip that's glued to the nylon piece and has hook and loop on the inside. The modification I had to make was putting a heat gun to the nylon insert to open up the mouth more. This isn't kydex, so it wouldn't be flexible as quick when heat is applied. Just hand to change the angle and widen the nylon insert because when you try to insert the magazine into it, the lips are so narrow that it's hard to quickly insert the mag back in. I have it now where this is enough retention to keep the mags in place and I can insert the mag quickly as well. That's the only gripe I have for this pouch. ... show more

Fit and finish is nice. Color matches other rg stuff on my belt. The mag retention is strong, they definitely aren’t going anywhere without you tugging them out.

Great for the price. thought they’d live up to the 🥝 but after 2 full range days they have lost there retention by almost 50%, had to heat up and bend them to add more but still are not nearly as tight as when I first used it, will be putting real kydex inserts in or just getting the esstacs mag pouches. ... show more
