I was kind of skeptical about getting a pair of 5.11s no matter the style, especially since my employer provides us with a new pair every year. The 6" ATAC boot is pretty terrible, there's no nice way to put it and I see why they just give them away every year. They literally kill your feet and having to work in a prison as a Correctional Officer for 12hrs on concrete you need quality, comfort, and durability. That is exactly what you get from 5.11 A/T 8'' Zip Boot. Not gonna lie the first day I wore them they were beyond comfortable, but when I got home the soles of my feet were killing me, since then absolutely no issues and after a week of wearing them, I am so glad I did!!! I love the fact that I can literally unzip to remove them and putting them on is just as easy without having to re-tie them. If you are looking for a pair of really good boots these are definitely them. I also ordered another pair!!!

I just put the boots on for the first time. While I can’t speak to durability yet, I can say this is the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. They fit true to size and the footbed is contoured perfectly. I’ve always had a problem finding boots that felt good because, more often than not, the footbed is too flat
