This privacy screen fencing works very well, as you can see in the attached photos it blocks out any view past it. This fabric fencing material is tough and sturdy, it also allows the air to pass through it and not become a large wind sail. This privacy fencing has grommets at even intervals all the way around giving you more options to secure it to surfaces. It is well made and nicely finished, this privacy fencing is good stuff. I discovered that this privacy fencing stops black bears from coming through your property. I put a camera out to see what happens, it looks like the bear cannot see through it, so to keep itself safe the bear takes a different route. This part of my fencing has become a short cut for the black bears to pass through on there way to the street below, and on that journey they have destroyed my regular fencing. This material has now stopped them, thanks to the camera footage that is informing me of what is going on in that spot on my property. This black fabric privacy fencing is not expensive, it very reasonable priced and now it is protecting the new fencing that it is sitting on top of. It's good for privacy (at least from 48" above the ground to 1" above the ground) and it's made of a material that will let breezes go through (and is easy to cut to get around gates). Unfortunately for my purposes, that lightweight mesh and easy-to-cut means it won't work for me -- I wanted something to keep my dog from seeing out, so she wouldn't launch herself at the USPS person. Instead, she latches onto this stuff and pulls, hard, unraveling and tearing it easily. So as long as you don't have something in your house actively trying to destroy the screen, it should work great for you! ... show more

Excellent coverage! Good value, too. We put this on our deck wall near the pool and we are very happy with it!! It gives a level of comfort for privacy even if privacy is not an issue. In today's world, lets face it, having a blocked-from-view area to relax in not just makes sense but it is so very nice to have a feeling of freedom in the great outdoors! Great for sunbathing that no one can see you in your suit or better yet, no suit at all. We have another one of these and this is our 2nd one...the other is on the chain link fence between us and the street, so many uses for this product! Great doubled up, too, for a thicker blackout from prying eyes up on a balcony or anywhere. Dries really fast in the sun after a rain storm and does not stay wet for long. Easy install with the ties enclosed. All in all a 10 star product and I highly recommend it for just about any application you need privacy screening for outside. NICE : ) ... show more

    • Not Quite Deck Perfect, But Purrfect for My Cat - CasaCulina Privacy Screen (3.5 stars)

I wasn't looking for complete privacy on my deck, but I wanted something to keep my curious cat contained while she enjoys the fresh air. This CasaCulina Privacy Screen seemed like an interesting option, so I decided to give it a try on my wooden deck railing instead of a chain link fence (like it's designed for). Here's the rundown: Deck Use with a Little DIY Adaptment: While this screen is made for chain link fences, I was able to attach it to my deck railing with some effort. The grommet holes didn't quite line up perfectly with the railing, so I had to get creative. The included zip ties worked for some spots, but for others, I needed to use longer zip ties I had in the garage. It wasn't the easiest installation, but I got it secure eventually. See-Through Barrier (Great for Cat Watching): This screen isn't completely private. You can still see some movement through the mesh, which is actually perfect for me. I can keep an eye on my cat while she explores the porch, and I can still enjoy watching the wildlife wander through the yard. Privacy wasn't my main concern, so this works out well. Kitty Approved Containment: The most important thing? This screen keeps my cat safely on the porch. The mesh is secure enough that she can't claw through it or squeeze through the gaps in the railing slats anymore. Mission accomplished! Overall: While this CasaCulina Privacy Screen wasn't exactly designed for my deck application, it did the trick with a little extra effort on the installation. It provides some visual barrier without being totally opaque, and most importantly, it keeps my cat safe and happy on the porch. Here's who I would recommend this for: People with chain link fences who want some privacy. Cat owners who need to keep their feline friends contained on a deck or porch.
