These seems sturdy enough, a little cheaper than what you would find standard on most instruments. But good deal for the price. These are small though. I bought some to replace a bass strap button, but these are definitely more suited for a ukulele or mandolin.

I make guitars and I always like to have plenty of spare parts handy. Strap buttons come in lots of different shapes so it is nice to have a choice and these are cheaper than anything from StewMac. They are quite nicely finished but not perfect. There are soft machining lines especially on the outer faces which are a bit ribbed under the chrome plate. So the chrome is not a mirror but rather very shiny. Funnily enough the inside conical face is very smooth and does look like a mirror. So I would not use these on a super special guitar but they will definitely have their place on a nice instrument at some stage. The buttons come with chromed oval head Phillips screws and soft washers and are supplied in a Ziplok baggy. ... show more
