I bought this and the first time I used it the telescopic shaft came apart on the 3rd wave of the flag. It might be okay to use if you just follow your horse but not if you need to wave it.

Works great so far. The pole could be a little more sturdy but it's to be expected with the telescopic mechanism. I have waved it around very aggressively & it hasn't broke yet

It works great for about 2 sessions then the metal bends and breaks. If you are training more than one horse a day I don't see this holding up at all. I had one horse used it maybe 2-3 times and the metal bent, almost cut my hand open, so I had to throw it away. In my opinion not worth it when you're trying to get good consistent work with your horses. ... show more

I've been focusing on ground work with my horses and this flag has been extremely useful. It's light weight and the fact it's retractable means it doesn't take up much space in my tack trunk. So far it's been very durable.
