While it looks sturdy and definitely needs no assembly, several areas were discolored with rust. Perhaps it had been in storage for some time. Nevertheless there was no apparent damage from delivery. I just needed something that didn't take a lot of width to hold all of my books. This is sturdy, thanks in part to the adjustable feet. I liked the look of this but didnโ€™t like how to put it together, too many pieces and the frame itself not very sturdy. It does come with secure strap for wall. I would not buy this type of shelving again just because of how hard it was for me to put together.
