The Start of 4Monster Aug. 2015 It all started on a camping trip to Yellowstone National Park. While four senior outdoor enthusiasts get together，the conversation took an unexpected turn to the subject of outdoor gears. Our designer friend brought an awesome travel backpack. We agreed that it was very beautiful and functional, but cost a lot. A question came to our minds: Why don't we make some practical, stylish and lightweight outdoor gear? After camping, our trip leads us to Big Sky City in Montana. Lying under the starry sky, we decided to build a functional and stylish outdoor brand. Sep. 2016 We started with quick-drying towels and backpacks. In this year, we did various design draft and material testings. After many twist and turns, we finally resolve the basic prototypes of our original towels and backpacks. We received a lot of valuable feedback from many outdoor enthusiasts which we would like to thank to. This was the real deal. I received a knock off from Amazon from another seller, unfortunately. The material SHOULD NOT BE POLYESTER! If your towel is shiny, thin material that looks like a cheap negligée and feels like throw-away material that disposable Halloween costumes are made out of, you got a counterfeit towel. I returned mine and ordered this one instead. VERY HAPPY with the real 4Monster towel which feels very much like a thick, tacky car shammy. It reminds me of moleskin. Return yours if it’s not like moleskin! I have a small one for spin class and another for gym showering. They dry wicked fast, soak up sweat and water and are very well made. Between my review and my photos I tried to cover as much details as possible. I bought the X-small towel thinking it was going to be close to facecloth size, I was wrong. It was about hand towel size which actually worked out better for what I was trying to down size for a future motorcycle trip. When package showed up the towel was inside the casing you store it in and normally nothing goes back in the packaging it comes in, well I was able to get it back in the casing 4 times and that's after the creases disappeared. I 1st tested this at home and use it to dry off after taking a shower - it was a little rough when I wiped so I patted down, worked great and dried in 10 mins ( 80 degrees in bathroom with 70% humidity outside and window was open ). I took this camping and normally when my family goes camping everyone brings a facecloth but this time my daughter also bought a full size bath towel to go swimming. My camping gear only had this towel in it and it was used to wipe my hands after washing them and wiping my face and sweat off of me for the whole trip - drying time for hands and face was about 5 mins, wiping sweat off it dried within mins . Note: after 3 uses it wasn't so rough like and was able to wipe my hands instead of patting them down but still had to pat my face. My daughter went swimming and used her towel from home to dry off with, but due to her hair she couldn't get her hair dry enough her towel was soaked. So, me and my daughter who used this to dry our hair after going and completely soaked our heads under a water station ( my hair is a little past my shoulders and hers is 1/2 way down her back ). We used this towel like you normally would drying your hair and this towel just kept taking the water. I was surprised on how dry our hair was and was impressed because I didn't have to ring it out. I noticed that the towel still had some of the black ash on it from when I used it on my hands and it didn't smear onto our hair so I decided to hand wash it in a sink. This towel cleaned up very nicely and was still really absorbent. I used the loop to hang it up to dry and it took a little longer due to the temp going down to 55 degrees, but when we woke in the morning the towel was completely dry unlike to towel she brought from home which was damp. I would like to add that our camp site was completely shaded and only had very little spots of direct sunlight when we hung the 2 towels up to dry after it was about 6pm (in Aug) when we hung these up. All-in-all I was very happy how this towel performed and the room I ended up saving in my backpack because even though this was bigger than a facecloth it still took up less than 1/2 the room than a facecloth would had taken up. Additional features I liked: On the casing there is a loop where I could add a clip to hang it off the outside of my back pack. The casing was flexible enough to turn it inside out for cleaning. Duel zippers - great for when one of them fails. When it is used you can see where it is still wet/damp and where it is not - this is a definite plus. I will be purchasing more but I might go 1 more sizing up to downsize the other 2 backpacks my family has for when bath towels are taken. ... show more

Many reviews of this towel are giving poor ratings due to the "Misleading title" or "confusing photos" leading to the thought you get 4 towels in this pack. Note: 4Monster is the name of the BRAND of the towel, not the number of towels you receive. Regardless of the photos (showing what the different sizes are, not what comes in the package) and other reviews, this is ONE TOWEL. If you expect 4, you need to set the quantity to 4. I purchased the XL version of this towel, and I was very pleased. Due to the fabric, its a bit off putting to use when drying off since its not a normal cotton towel, however that is the reason this towel is so great. I use it after the gym, and it dries my hair, and body while having a moderately damp feel, however it dries in about 5-10 minutes. Since owning this towel (about 2 months or so) I've used it 4-5x a week for showers and its still holding up well. The small loop tag in the corner has care instructions (at least the XL model does) so its easy to know how to take care of it. I plan on buying two XXL sized of these to throw in the bulkhead of my kayaks due to the hyper absorbency, as well as a couple more XL for camping & backpacking. ... show more

pros: folds small, dries fast, great for packing in luggage or gym bag, durable, multiple uses (wipe car, clean up) does not hold sweaty smell, has a button hook for hanging, cons: not very absorbent, rough on skin when wiping off water or sweat (you have to pat yourself dry rather than wipe), thin, feels more like a sheet than a towel, not a terry cloth feeling ... show more
