Night vision goggles I would assume are for brightening up the ambient light but these use a giant IR led array to add light to the scene. They charge over USB C in a couple hours and then use a 6 button interface to operate. The buttons are difficult to get a handle on how they operate with up, down, forward, back, take a picture, and menu. They look like binoculars but they are sensor on one side and an IR led on the other. The focus knob is at the front on the lens like an old camera and not the back or top like binoculars. The range on these are very good, easily 80 feet or more. I can see how this is very difficult to operate if you're trying to hold anything in your other hand and wouldn't recommend doing that. They are a novelty toy to me and I wouldn't trust them farther than I could throw them but they are fun to play with at night and you can easily see raccoons and possums at night. I haven't seen anything else but it's still cold here. ... show more

These NVGs work well. They might not be the most streamline, but they work well. I don't have a tactical helmet to try them with, but the head strap they came with doesn't let them sit level on my head In a handheld configuration, they are amazing.

Edit: the seller has tried to make contact with me to fix the issue im not interested but adding a star for that customer service ... Thankfully im on amazon vine and got these for 15.3% of the asking price,but even then still way too much for these pieces of crap. I never have high hopes for these types of things but this went far below that as well. Ill tell you why there are focusing dials and they do absolutely nothing as far as focusing goes they just make it go from bad to worse. I cant even see more than 10 feet and even then i have to guess what im looking at even though i know what im looking at. And to ask $229 for these get real. Id maybe maybe spend $10 on them and give it to a nephew i dont like very much if i had one of those nephews ehich sadly i do not so im tossing them in the garbage but keeping the case they came in thats worth more than these 99¢ wrongnoculars ... show more
