My kindergarten students enjoyed making these! I appreciated the video on how to make them as the written step by step were easy to follow, but easily messed up. Materials are sturdy and lasted with kindergarten students.

It seemed pretty darn intuitive to put together - but I read the booklet to boot. The paper is more like a construction paper quality and not really like a cardstock quality, so if you try several times to put it together the paper starts to rip a bit. As noted by another customer, if you got them very "wet" with marker they become flimsy, so let them dry all the way before assembling. I put them together with the center piece (where the flower cutout goes) through the four folded petals, and then I stuck the stem piece in. It did fit, but then nothing spinned and I thought, great, not going to work. So I reviewed the instructions...and went to read the reviews. It seemed like they were fake; many similar and mentioning kindergarten projects, and the reviews being stratified (either great or terrible) and the 1 star ratings mentioning they DID watch the video...and even when they did it right, it seemed like the petal part would fall off. I then watched the video and realized...ok, I feel silly. I had the long stem backwards. As soon as I fixed it, the paper petals were able to blow freely. It stays secure. A great little craft at the farmer's market for our table. :D Attaching a video! Good luck, and I DO recommend buying this. I took off a star because the paper isn't cardstock, but it is still okay.

Kids loved doing it. It did take me a minute to figure out how to get the pinwheel to spin freely because the directions didn't show the right spot for where the paper should be in the end. Once I figured it out it was simple to do the rest. Even had toddlers color them and adults assembled.

I was skeptical because of the reviews. But the pinwheel set was a very nice birthday craft idea. The children loved it! If you watch the video and follow the instructions is It very easy to assemble. And the assembly worked very precisely. Every pinwheel was perfect. And it spins very well! The set includes also 6 instruction papers.

These are more complicated than they look, and definitely require an adult helping (although it specifies it's for kids ages 3+). And yes, I followed the video, not just the written instructions. One of the very frustrating things is that after you create the pinwheel, it just doesn't work well! To get it to work, it almost comes apart. I got this as a project to do with my grandkids who love crafts and have experienced the fun of "real" pinwheels (already created metallic ones), thinking they would get a lot of joy both from making them and giving them to others. What a dud! Don't waste your money!
