  • Good Starter Filter Kit with Nice Case
Size: 67MM
I purchased this Altura Photo 67mm filter kit in 2021 and it’s still working well. The filters fit properly on my lens and the material y very sturdy, they are easy to install and removal. Image quality has been good, and the coatings seem to do a decent job helping with glare and reflections. The CPL filter is useful for reducing reflections and improving color in outdoor shots and is very smoth the adjustemt ability, and the UV filter works well for basic lens protection. One of my favorite things about this kit is the included pouch. It keeps the filters organized and protected when traveling or storing them in a camera bag. The ND4 filter works fine for basic light reduction, but I do wish the kit included more ND options for stronger light control. Pros: • Still working well after years • Filters fit properly and are easy to use • Good coating quality • CPL filter helps with reflections and color • Included pouch is very convenient • Cons: • Only one ND filter included • Would be better with additional ND strengths • Conclusion: This Altura Photo filter kit is a good starter set for photographers who want basic filters at an affordable price. The filters perform well for general use, and the pouch is a great addition for storage and travel. It’s a solid value, though having more ND filter options would make the kit even better. ... show more

  • OKAY!! I'm a Fan now
Size: 49MM
The Altura Photo 49MM Lens Filter Kit I bought for my 50mm lens has really impressed me with its performance and results far! Each filter, in the set brings something to the table and has truly elevated my photography in various ways, I put all of them to the test and had a few things to say. The UV filter is really handy for protection – I always make sure it's on my lens to guard against dust and scratches as well as accidental fingerprints which we know happens from time to time! The best part is that it doesn't impact the image quality all; in fact, it helps keep my photos super sharp even in sunny conditions. The polarizer filter is a must have for photography enthusiasts like me! It works wonders by minimizing reflections, from water and glass while boosting the richness and depth of colors in my landscape photos. Using an ND filter enables me to capture images in daylight by slowing down the shutter speed without causing overexposure issues. Making it perfect for achieving motion blurs such as silky water flows or dynamic cloud movements; it's also handy for maintaining balanced exposure when aiming for a wide aperture, in shots requiring depth of field focus. The filters are crafted from top notch glass material. I haven't experienced any unexpected changes in color or distortions with them. Moreover, the case provided helps in keeping everything maintained and safeguards the filters when they are not being used. This set of filters is ideal, for photographers seeking to enhance their photographs with a range of filters. I strongly suggest it for its quality and effectiveness! ... show more

  • Bang for the Buck, Hard to Beat
Size: 72MM
Haters are going to hate. The price made me very skeptical, the smaller group of very negative reviews gave me pause. I decided that in the worst case scenario, I can send them back. I am using the 72MM filter set on a Nikon Z6 with the 24-70MM FX lens for professional video production of outdoor B-reel. UV filter: Clear, minimal added distortion, no visible defects in the filter, provides a small added degree of crispness to outdoor images in partly-cloudy and full sun situations. CPL: Color me really impressed. For the money, the performance is in a word - amazing. Excellent for removing glare and reflection off of water and glass, while brightening blues. Does soften focus but within acceptable ranges. Adjustment is easy. I am shooting with an Atomos Ninja V so the larger display enables me to dial in the CPL with more precision. ND4: Useless, hence the 4 stars. As others have noted the ND4 filter adds a lot of brown tones to your images. I did use it on a beach where I was shooting some surf images in lousy midday light with high clouds. It helped but the gray rocks turned decidedly brown. If you're an expert at Photoshop/Premiere you can adjust to fix, but it will take some time. I also found that the ND4 softened the focus worse than the other filters, where some video was unusable for our work. If you're buying this for the CPL and the UV, it is still well worth the money even if you toss the ND4. Having dropped a 24-300MM FX lens with a UV filter on it (not this one) to find the UV filter cracked to pieces, I am a huge fan of using a UV or clear filter to protect your glass full time. This represents dirt cheap insurance, and additionally, a quality CPL that rivals other choices that are 3X or 4X the cost. ... show more

  • A great value and all that is necessary for some situations
Size: 77MM
I was looking for a circular polarizer (CP) to take pictures of pictures inside glass covered frames. Most of the pictures in the frames were of low quality anyway (early childhood photos circa 1950). I just wanted to minimize the reflection. The Altura filters were a fit for my 77 mm Canon 24-70 f/4 L lens. Most quality filters were over $100 just for the CP. Well, the CP in this kit worked well. As I said, the material I was photographing was low quality anyway. The CP of this kit definitely did not degrade the pictures. It fit my needs perfectly. For high quality landscapes, I don't need a filter. I make adjustments to all my pictures in Photoshop anyway. I might use the ND filter for the occasionally over bright situations. I do not plan to use the UV filter and question the need for UV filtering. ... show more
