I would not use these for anything breakable. I attached one to a wooden picture frame (no glass, within weight limits) and it held for over a week before failing (the frame was amazingly caught and held by the traditionally hung frame below it.) For small unbreakables, they're probably okay, but pretty expensive.

These worked well with my small plates. I like that you can’t see the hanger just the plate. I did reinforce with gorilla tape on the hanger to make sure they held as another reviewer had suggested.

Used to hang several plates, unfortunately the heaviest one (not unusually heavy) fell and broke. I let adhesion sit for 2 or 3 days before hanging and it still fell. I still recommend, the remaining plates are hanging beautifully. Using these is much more aesthetically pleasing than the metal plate hangers.

They claim to hold up to 1.5 pounds with one hook. It probably should be closer to half of a pound. I hung a vintage plate on the wall, came up a few days later and the plate was on the floor. I'm thankful it landed on the carpeting and didn't break. I tried again with a light wood sign. It lasted a week before the sign fell, knocked over other items, and broke in two places. I don't hang the items up immediately, I wait 24 hours for the adhesive to stick well. I had to resort to using Gorilla Glue to keep the hooks on my items. Now I'm off to reglue! UPDATE: The hook broke again when I hung the vintage plate. This time the foam stayed glued and the plastic back came off and my plate FELL AGAIN and didn't break.

In details it says maximum of 40 pounds- very different than on directions say 1.5 ponds. I didn’t weigh the exact amount but broke 2 vintage platters one hung for 2 weeks the other a little longer. So disappointing! Very misleading.
