I am using these paints for rock painting and they look absolutely marvelous. I have painted several rock lobsters and hid them all throughout town and I have no idea who got them but I hope they enjoy them because they were made with these paints and they look great!

Arrived on time, but several of the paints have lightly damaged bottles, not enough to affect the quality of the paint. The little plastic palette they included is cracked in multiple places and is useless. The included brushes were folded over through the bristles, so most of those are useless also, unless I can magically straighten them out. The colors seem pretty awesome, some are definitely more metallic than iridescent, but that's not a big deal, they all seem to have a decent sheen to them. Since this is a gift, I won't know about the quality of the paint for some time, but it feels decently thick in the bottles when shook. Overall, for the price point, a nice collection of colors, I didn't buy them for the 'extras' and probably won't include them when I gift these paints. ... show more

I’m going to say this paint is better for beginners, if you want to tinker around with colors. But for a person that is looking todo quality painting ie.. models or serious crafts. Then this may not be for you. The best way I can explain It’s consistency and feel, it’s like finger nail polish with the flakes imbedded into the paint. For me it’s not a real metallic paint. But I can see it having a purpose as a top coat over a similar color base coat. In combination with other paints you just be able to get the look you’re going for. My son buys and paints his own minis for his D&D game. One thing that he complained about were there were certain colors that he could not find, in a package for a reasonable price that was good paint. When he opened his gift this Christmas and he got this. He was so excited, and since then he has been able to make all the little detail touches on his minis to give them the life that he wanted to give them. It has great coverage it dries quickly, and it has a very great selection of colors that are difficult to find elsewhere in the iridescent. The brushes and everything were great. I absolutely recommend this for anyone who paints minis, or who has been having a difficult time finding what they want.
