We used this privacy screen to get a small measure of privacy around most of our front porch and back stoop. We have metal railing around the porch, and this was very easy to secure to that railing. Because it's not completely solid it still allows us to see through it, but it keeps us from feeling like we're being watched whenever we're sitting outside. We also have a small enclosed stoop out back and wanted the same privacy and this did the job, plus it blocks a lot of the afternoon sun which keeps the stoop, and therefore our kitchen, much cooler. This product is relatively simple to install, provided that your chain link fence is quality and installed well. Our chain link appeared to have been lower quality with several places where the links were not uniform and the dimension of the chain varied. Unfortunately this led to the mesh covering being stretched tight in places and hanging loosly in other places. It doesn't look great, but in the places where the fence itself was up to snuff, everything looks amazing. I would recommend this product, especially if you have a quality fence with a professional installation. It is a great add-on. ... show more

This screen is not only good for privacy, for my purposes we are above our neighbors so the 4ft. tall is perfect, so think about how you're going to use it & where. It is also great for wind deterrent which is the main reason for getting it.

The material is very strong when stretching to eliminate wrinkles! I have a 4ft chain link fence that boarders my back yard. 1 neighbor has a fence that backs up to my chain link, yet the neighbor on the southwest corner has a mess behind the shed and a yappy dog. I installed this 50ft (only needed 20ft) started from the right corner, securing top to bottom while pulling tight before installing the next tie strap. I then proceeded to install all 50ft at the top only, pulling tight while installing the tie straps. Very wavy at that point. I then went back to the far right and started pulling down and left to eliminate the wrinkles before installing the bottom tie straps. Only problem I had, was due to my 4ft chain link fence is up to 6" below the ground, due to the amount of slope/erosion. I took the bottom and folded in sections the thickness of the boarder, until I could get it stretched tight to the bottom. When I folded enough to stretch tight(3-6 folds at different points due to the grade) I inserted the tie strap through the webbing & boarder eyelet and secured tight. Pulling down and left, eliminated the wrinkles and never made a tear, nor broke a strap. This screen is smooth as glass on the fence, yet puffy on the bottom due to folding, that can easily be concealed:). Highly recommended! ... show more

This fence is fairly easy to install and came with about double the necessary zip ties, which was nice. It is about 4 inches taller than my fence, leaving extra that needed to be folded over the fence. It looks fine from one side but messy from the other. It also isn’t opaque. I got it to block out a neighbor's trash. But in the sunlight, it’s pretty sheer. It’ll be fine for the winter but it’s not a long term solution for us. ... show more

I ordered this screen to create fence privacy; the screening provides permanent or even temporary (e.g., at a construction site) privacy. The package includes 80 zip ties that fasten the screening to permanent chain link fencing, but a temporary screen can be constructed using (not included) temporary support posts along with top/bottom (e.g., ASIN B0C8SJJY4Y not included) wire rope or even (e.g., ASIN B0B82KZJV8 not included) paracord; the temporary screen can be removed and reused when no longer needed. The polyethylene screen knitted material is essentially opaque: normally dark green, it appears "stop light green" when backlit by direct sunlight. The screening is water-resistant and can be sprayed with a garden hose for cleaning. The weave is edge-reinforced with 2.5" wide nylon webbing folded front and back (1.25" border), double stitched, then brass grommets are set into the edge webbing (3 material layers) at 2 foot nominal intervals. Zip tying the screen edge grommets to chain link fencing or to a temporary support creates an easy installation. The 150 GSM high-density polyethylene weave is strong, is slightly stretchy, and appears durable; expect no wind problems. [Caveat: polyethylene does brittle from (sunlight) UV exposure.     • unique need
So it is a long story why I need this for flood control, but that is why I ordered this to divert floodwater at my property line due to a new development next door diverting water onto my property in a heavy rain event. I am hoping this will function to divert the water to the ditch instead of onto my property or at least minimize the amount. I have not had a chance to test my theory. Star Rating System (What do my star ratings mean?): 1 STAR - Completely unusable, would request a refund 2 STAR - Meets minimum viable product requirements, wouldn't purchase it again 3 STAR - It does what it should, but in a non-spectacular way, I may recommend it, but definitely with reservations 4 STAR - I like it.
