This tape is excellent, and it really puts down a safe stepping surface for a variety of substrates. As I am older now, my fear of falling has a high level of respect, and this tape gives me a lot of reassurance that I am much less likely to slip. I used the whole roll on the steps leading to my basement. Those steps were painted with epoxy paint for durability, however, they were a bit slippery, but not now! I really like the fact that the tape is 4 inches wide, as most of their competitors sell 2 inch tape, and that difference is substantial on a stair step. The adhesion is top notch, and you won't be moving it once you put it down, so be very careful with that process. I'm going to buy another roll, and apply it to my tractor as well as the Trex decking boards on the stairs of the deck. The listing gives you a bunch of ideas as to where to use this, and you will most likely think of alternatives to just stairs or deck boards. This is an excellent product, and I highly recommend it. Great for little kids who don't have all of their balance yet!

I recently received this 4 inch by 33 foot heavy duty anti slip tape and I am using it for safety on our outdoor staircases. We have steep stairs at our property and adding traction was important so the steps are safer in wet weather. The abrasive surface provides very good grip and makes a noticeable difference when walking up and down the stairs. I cut the tape into sections for each step and it was easy to trim with scissors. Before applying it I made sure the wood was clean and dry so the adhesive would bond properly. Once pressed into place it adhered well and stayed secure. The 4 inch width works well for stair treads because it gives good traction without covering the entire step. I also like that it is waterproof and designed for outdoor use since our stairs are exposed to rain and changing weather. In addition to improving safety, the tape will also help protect the center of the step where most foot traffic happens so the wood does not wear down as quickly. For staircases, ramps, or any area that needs better footing, this tape works well and I feel it is a fair value for the length of roll included.

This anti-slip tape specifies that it's for skateboards in the description. I suppose it could be, but it has a photo of a walkway and stairs on the label. It is very substantial tape but is not the usual width for skate boards but you could lay two strips down or create a unique design layout. The tape feels very thick and strong and the adhesive is excellent. I tested it on a smooth tile floor and some wooden steps and once it was set in place it was very hard to get up and none of the edges lifted by themselves. You need some pretty heavy scissors to cut it, maybe some tin snips to prevent wrecking your good scissors. The roll is stated at 33' length and that could give you good full coverage of 10 or so steps. Overall the tape sticks great and provided a reliable grippy step on my stairs. It is a good thing to have around the house and yard to prevent slips and falls.

I plan to install the anti-slip tape on the stairway for my deck, which can be very slippery when wet. I haven't installed it yet, but the adhesive looks to be very strong and should stick nicely on the composite stair treads. The surface haas a really gritty texture so it will provide excellent traction when going up and down the stairs. The 4-inch width is ideal for stair treads and gives plenty of coverage without looking bulky. I also like that the roll length provides enough material to cover multiple steps with room to spare. Installation looks to be pretty straight forward, just clean the surface really well, measure, cut, and apply. Overall, this is a simple but very effective upgrade to make the outdoor stairs much safer.

This is something I've needed for a long time, but never thought about using it. We have a raised portion of our front sidewalk that gets dangerously slippery when wet. I've always wished there was a way to remove the hazard and then I saw this tape. I thought, "why not try it"? And am I glad I did, because it is just the thing for slippery surfaces outside. It's like the surface on a skateboard and you do not slip at all on it. My wife thinks it's one of the smartest home improvement things I've done in a while. I have a handicapped daughter who is a bit wobbly at times walking and this gives her sure footing when the surface gets wet. I'm sure there are other areas this tape can be used, but it was perfect for us. Thick, very adhesive, and easy to install! Highly recommended!

Great stuff! The adhesive backing is super sticky, sticks to anything, the front is really grippy, gives really good traction on some steps i put it on because they get wet when they get slippery. The 4" width is really nice for steps, i have bought the 2" wide before and used two strips with a space between on steps, that also works good but gives about the same traction as a single piece of this stuff. I could see it being handy for a lot of different surfaces to slip proof them. Overall great product and a good value for the money!

Great product to help prevent slipping on various surfaces. Best used on smooth non-porous surfaces. The tape is indeed quite heavy duty. I measured the width at 3.920” and the thickness was 0.034”. The texture is similar to 80 grit sandpaper. The paper backing peels off easily revealing a very sticky adhesive surface. The tape is somewhat flexible with a rubber like feel. I found that it adheres well and believe it will stand up over time. Overall I think it’s a very good option to quickly and easily (cuts with scissors) install and provide a safer condition. I am getting older and products like this are becoming more important. The price is quite reasonable for what you get.

This grip tape is pretty nice and makes things pretty much no slip. I've added this to my phone case and it made my phone so much easier to handle. Will probably add it to my hatchback trunk.
