I installed the product today, works as described. pretty happy with it of course I won't know how well it stands up to the weather and the UV sunlight probably in 6 months it may be a different story? Using the rope and pulley system it raises up out of the way easily so that's a good thing. Not sure why a lot of people return this item besides they're not mechanically inclined enough to install it that's my guess. I did it in a hour or so...if you study the instructions it's pretty easy actually. Also I don't understand the shipping time because it told me it would take like 11 days which surprised me I thought it was coming from China? and then it turns out it shows up in 3 days and it came from Indiana so I don't get that? But a happy ending 🎉

While I have not yet had a chance to secure the awning to my house, it seems like a very nice e product. Comparing it to the one I am replacing, which cost three times as much when I originally purchased it five years ago, it compares in durability, looks and detail. The linen color is more of a tan which I am more than pleased with given a darker shade weathers better than a lighter one. Yiubcannot beat the price.

Wasn’t sure at first if this would work or be sturdy enough . But this was very sturdy , easy to install, had it up in 30 minutes. It has performed very well. We are going to buy more for the other windows. Definitely would recommend this product, if you are looking for inexpensive was to cover doors or windows, with quality product. Only suggestion would be if they could add more colors to the choice that would be great . I have several out building I could use this with but the two choices of color wouldn’t match. Just a suggestion. Thank you.

Item is trash and should not be offered on Amazon's website, it gives Amazon a bad name and reputation that Amazon is peddling junk to consumers. It has only been hung for 2 mos., even though I sprayed sun guard on it and it's already sun faded/bleached and looks horrible. Not only have I paid for $64 for the item, I paid $125 for a contractor to hang it which took a long time - now it looks disgusting.

Well, the awing is structurally fine, the directions are a bit confusing as to putting the poles together but nothing you can not work through. The main issue I have is with the stitching, seems loose and has a spot or two missed, the wife will burn and superglue the threads. Knocked 2 stars for the directions and stitching.
