These smell really strong at first but it fades quickly. I places two under the hood of pickup and it reduced the signs of rodent activity it didn't completely eliminate it. Also, if you try and stick them to flat surface with the included two sided tape the wont stick because the bottom is concaved. I bought these as a have a squirrel repeatedly building a nesr in the engine compartment of my truck. I put four of these in my engibe compartment. the squirrel built the nest on top of this so-called deterrent.

We live in the country and the other day I saw a mouse run by our pantry. YIKES I got these and put them in the pantry and around the kitchen and after a few days, no signs of the mouse. No droppings, nothing. I am always skeptical about these sort of things but this one does seem to work. We found sticks and dried grass around our car. Turns out newer cars (ours is a 2017) have wire insulation that is soy based, great for the environment, but the squirrels like it too. Upon opening the hood I found a huge nest by the firewall and there was damage to some of the wiring. Bought these and installed them under the hood, problem solved. They don't last as long as I expected but that might just be normal. Anyway, they worked exactly as advertised so I bought more. Update: So I'm using these for the second time and for some reason they don't seem to have any effect on the squirrels.
