I LOVE these baby proofing locks and “MQP” provides the BEST customer service! The locks are easy to install, not visible from the outside, durable (we used them for 4 years) and easy for adults to use. They gave me so much peace of mind knowing my babies were protected and still allowed the adults in our family to easily access what we needed. Having two “keys” per set to unlock is so helpful. We are in the process of moving and I have been removing the cabinet locks. They are removed completely by applying heat from a hair dryer and did not damage any wood cabinetry, for which I’m SO thankful. Additionally, John from My Quality Products sent me an entire new package when I requested just additional 3M adhesive so I could reuse some of the cabinet locks in our new home. I am so happy and grateful! I can’t recommend this company and this product enough! If you’re shopping around trying to find the best for your family, PICK THIS ONE! I have a new granddaughter, however it will be awhile before I need to worry about childproofing for her! Purchased this product because I have 2 cats that are almost 3 years old and the male is smart(?) and strong enough to open cabinet doors and drawers! I am tired of having to find new homes for the things that normally are stored in those cabinets and drawers so decided it was time to do some cat proofing. These safety locks seem to be doing the trick! I listened to him last night trying over and over to open the doors before he finally gave up! He hasn't gone after the drawers again, so not sure if he will quickly tire of those as well! Thanks for this great product that doesn't include any screws or furniture damaging hardware to be installed! I have had a few issues with installing, however when I don't seem to have the rectangular piece in the right place, I found that a very small flat screwdriver will work to peel the piece off provided I haven't pressed it into place securely yet. Once I have the 2 pieces positioned correctly, I press both firmly to be sure they will stay where they need to stay! I started out with the smaller 8 lock set to see how they worked and have since ordered the larger box! By the time I get those all installed, I will review again with an update!! These were easy to install and it only took me about 15 minutes for 8 cabinets, including washing and drying the areas to attach the locks to! I bought the 46 piece kit with 16 locks to have extras in case we move or the installed locks wear out somehow. Also, the magnetic locks are really perfect for us since we are grandparents and we keep the locks switched off when it's just the 2 of us. We just need to flip the lock switches on when our granddaughters are visiting! So much less annoying then using the non-magnetic locks. It couldn't be easier! Important to note: Most cabinets have the small bumpers on the inside of the door to keep the doors from slamming loudly when closed. I just extended the placement of the top of the locks 1/8 inch past the cabinet edge to fit snugly, otherwise the adhesive would not hit the back of the cabinet door! This should probably be mentioned on the installation diagram. ... show more

We were looking for latches that didn’t require drilling into ours cabinets, these were the best price with the most reviews. The latches come with a plastic guide to show you how far back to place each piece, this is actually helpful and everyone should use it. The first one we tried to install, we did not use the guide and we had to unstick the piece and try again. Install went much quicker after using the guide. We installed these in three different rooms, on three sets of cabinets with different openings. I love that with this set you can install the locks regardless of cabinet type: middle divider between cabinet doors, no divider, open cabinet above the door, etc. Apologies for this crude description of cabinets, but I’m a tired new mom, cut me some slack. The customer service was also amazing - I emailed the company for a third key since the locks are in 3 rooms. Instead of having me purchase a key they quickly mailed me a new set, no questions asked, for free. I was above and beyond impressed with their customer service. We haven’t yet used the corner guards or plug covers, but it was nice they came in the package. Our baby hasn’t started crawling yet, so I can’t say how effective they are with him. But I can say that I keep forgetting we installed these and I haven’t been able to pull the cabinets open yet. All in all, good purchase! ... show more

    • Infuriating product- DON’T DO IT

I don’t know where to start with all the reasons I hate these!! First, they don’t stay stuck on. We installed them and within 3 months 2 were missing. Then the little latch that moves up and down inside the main piece acts up. Sometimes it does not move at all. Sometimes it latches. Sometimes it does not. So when your little one goes to open a cabinet it may, or may not open. That is 100% unacceptable. Third, and I can’t stress enough what a huge deal this is... they open by magnet. Yes, you say. We know. That’s the point. That’s why I’m buying them. Yes...... NO!!!! No. No. No! Let’s be logical here. The kit comes with 2 magnets. So you put them in convenient locations. I promise you. They will get lost. Moved. Misplaced. THROWN OUT. Yes. Yes they will. You say no, but they will. Then, consider this: every time you need to open a cabinet you need 2 hands. You need one to use the magnet and one to open the door. Seems like no biggie but what if you have your child in your arms? Or a piece of garbage? Something dripping... (coffee filter, gunk from the kitchen sink drain, food, anything leaking...????) FORGET IT. You need both hands to open those cabinets. This will slowly (or very quicky) invoke feelings of rage. That’s where I’m at. That’s why I’m writing this review. These things suck!! Don’t waste your money. Don’t choose this product. Unless of course you enjoy being frustrated and enraged on a daily basis. ... show more
