These look and operate just like our original Apple cables. Unfortunately, Apple designed their cables with such a small plug connector into your Apple device that eventually the wire insulation separates from the plug. The individual wire conductors at the plug are unsupported and your cable fails. At the other cable end, the USB connector is larger and often remains in the charger. So it never wears out. The Good: The price is good for 4 wires. They work for charging, which is what I bought them for. The not so Good: They are stiff, like the old Apple supplied wires. They come coiled, and because they are stiff, they stay that way. A little annoying because the cable wants to roll back into its original "fetal" position. The cable surface also feels "dry", almost chalky. I don't think it affects the function, but I don't like the feel. My daughter is always losing her iPhone cables and original Apple ones are quite pricey. Also, sometimes the cat will chew on it and damage it. This 4-pack is perfect, still have two left! And at $8.99 it was a great buy.

The cables were nothing fancy and so far it is working. I'm writing this review more because the vendor had sent me usb-a to lightning cables instead of the usb-c to usb-c cables that I had ordered and were very responsive in correcting their mistake.
