  • Awesome offline controller
This offline controller impressed me the second I opened the box. The enclosure is made out of metal .... I was expecting the usual plastic. The screen is just as sensitive as my smartphone and very responsive. The display is very crisp and sharp. Love the layout of the different screens and ease of use. Running mid to large scale CNC machines in a shop I find the DRO, feed, speed controls on the display to play just like the big machines. This controller gives you absolute full control of what you may want to do without compromise. No desire to run the machines off of my laptop in a dirty environment (dust/chips/fumes) with this I have no need to run software control. I have many offline controllers and I have to say this one is the best and a new benchmark other companies need to strive for. It can however be picky about what GRBL boards it connects to. It works for one of my machines but not the other. Still working out how to update the firmware on the one that will not connect. I do wish NymoLabs offered a 4 axis board to go along with this offline controller. ... show more

  • NymoLabs 4 AXIS USB CNC Offline Controlle
By far the best price for a GBRL controller, the only thing missing is being able to edit the program code. otherwise it is almost like any milling machine controller

  • Couldn't get it to work
I had several issues with this product. When I first got it I plugged it into a USB-C power supply. Nothing happened. I checked the port, it was good. It worked with all my other USB-C devices. I figured it was a DOA product and left it for a later date. Then I accidentally plugged it into a different USB-C power supply. It fired up! I checked everything again, and sure enough, it refused to work with one of my power supplies while every other device had no problems. Next I tried connecting to a GRBL controller I had. No go. I tried several times, swapping things around. No luck. Tried another controller. Same thing. I read through the manual. It requires not only the correct baud rate, but insists on a specific chip for serial port conversion (CE340). At that point I was done. It needs a specific USB-C power supply (didn't work with two of mine), it needs a specific chip for serial communications. As an electronics design engineer, I find this unacceptable. We have standards so things are compatible. Making products that are that fussy is not what I want. I gave it three stars because it is primarily designed to work with their own equipment, but took two off because they also say it works with other GRBL hardware. My issue is that I do not want to purchase something and then pull apart my CNC to see if it is compatible with the product I purchased. That is just nonsense. Make it work with any USB-C power supply (it is a standard), make it work with any USB port and not require the purchaser to look at to the chip level of their hardware to see if it will work with it. Imagine buying a car radio where the instructions state "works only with xxxx chip in your engine management system". ... show more

  • Can’t get it to connect
I can’t get it to connect to my grbl cnc board even though everything I read says it should. No customer support, and too late to return.

  • Great upgrade for Genmitsu CNC router.
I am using this Nymolabs controller on a Genmitsu 4040 Pro and it was well worth the investment. For the most part it was “plug and play” with the Genmitsu CNC. The ability to adjust the feed rate on a program file is the main reason I purchased it. The custom macros I was able to create are very useful. The Nymolabs customer support has been great. I highly recommend this controller. ... show more

  • attractive product but....
an attractive product but when I tried to drive three different grbl controllers it wouldn't communicate with them. (Suitable for desktop CNC routers with GRBL firmware, CH340 communication chip). it also could use a usb connector to provide access to the SD card like the $14 offline senders. documentation is sub-minimal. jog and macros functions are good. maybe I could do a Frankenstein job on it... 3 months in use I got it working fairly well. the only trouble is that it doesn't execute custom txt file macros using the F1 thru F5 keys. ... show more
