  • APPLICATION: 4905 transparent mounting tape utilizes a general purpose adhesive. It is commonly used in applications to join transparent material or where clear or colorless tape is preferred. It is specifically designed for good adhesion to metal, glass and plastics such as polycarbonate and acrylic. Joining transparent material. Mount backlit translucent signs. Edge-bond resin filled glass. Metal, Decorative material and trim Nameplates and logos. Panel to frame.
  • FEATURE: Virtually invisible fastening keeps surfaces smooth. Can replace mechanical fasteners (rivets, welds, screws) or liquid adhesives. Eliminate drilling, grinding, refinishing, screwing, welding and associated clean-up. Creates a permanent seal against water, moisture and more. Pressure sensitive adhesive bonds on contact to provide immediate handling strength. Allows the use of thinner, lighter weight and dissimilar materials.
  • INSTALLATION AND REMOVABLE: At room temperature, approximately 50% of the ultimate strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours. Spraying alcohol on the tape then it is easy to peel off.
  • VERSATILITY: Recommended applications like decorative material and trim, nameplates and logos, electronic displays, panel to frame, stiffener to panel. I used it to hold plexiglass to a window frame and it works well in all temperatures experienced so far (and I live in MN where we have temperature extremes). This stuff is awesome !!! So easy to use but it's kind of like super glue, so don't even begin to stick in on unless you have a steady hand and can get it on correctly. I used this to "black out" the back of my 10 gallon aquarium and it looks AMAZING!!! It was so easy for me to use, and the red backing came off fairly easy for me with my fingernails. Make sure you have a good view of the surface where that you are applying this too. As you can see, I was working almost blindly and in a very tight space and I just barely touched the black to my tank and it was not in place correctly so I had to fight to get this off the tank and into place perfectly. It is wonderful tape and I cannot say anymore about it. I knew of it from the 3m hooks I bought on Amazon a few years ago and they are still going strong. ... show more

My tile bathroom shower was difficult to get a waterproof container bracket to stay affixed to the tile to hold my IPhone within this waterproof container so I could watch music videos while showering. Sticks to itself better than anything else. I bought this to hold up some Govee strip lights. It is completely wrong for this purpose as they don't stick to anything very well except to itself or the plastic covers over the "sticky" part. Do not buy. Returned.
