Used primarily to seal vents and other equipment on the roof of the Airstream, does a great job.....and lasts. Used it to seal a skylight seven years ago, still pliable and leak free. Highly recommend!! But it comes in handy for so much more that it's found a permanent place in the traveling tool box!! Previous orders were on tubes with the 3m logo. Is Amazon selling the genuine product? Answer.. Tape case is a 3M supplier, TapeCase is your source for all 3M products including 3M tapes and adhesives. Contact us for all your 3M adhesive tape needs. Amazon is a distributor also. 3M does not sell this product in a 5 yard roll .. I suspect TapeCase is putting the 4412N on a 5 yard roll for consumer and selling it through Amazon. It is super sticky and still easy to work with. I used it to seal my spoked motorcycle rims. That way I can run tubeless and plug a flat on the road with ease. A product has to be real good to work in this application as the air in the tire tries real hard to find a way out. A less sticky substance will fail, I have tried other means with bad results. Highly recommended and a great bargain.

Awesome product. I recently unbolted 2 brackets from the roof of my vehicle that used stock mounting points underneath weatherstripping. I didn't want to fill the actual holes and was looking for an alternative to keep water out. Cut 2 strips of this tape to cover the mounting points. Went on well and form fit the spot I laid it in nicely. I painted over it with some of that small bottle OEM color match paint like you get from a dealer Searched around a while for something like this and had a hard time finding it finally on Amazon. So far it's been about 3 weeks since initial application. Will continue to monitor for any leaks but so far so good. EDIT May 25/2017 - Still NO leaks. Holding up great. Looks the same as when I first applied it. Keep in mind it is underneath a rubber weatherstrip on my truck roof so basically nil sun exposure, so it will stay protected.

I used this as a temporary fix to try to seal a skylight window on my camper. First, the roll wasn't one continuous strip, but you couldn't tell by looking at it. As I was sealing one long side of the skylight, about halfway through the seam, the tape ended and a new peice started on the roll. This left me trying to butt up two pieces of tape on one long seam instead of a continuous strip. It appears that the tape roll was made from a longer roll and repackaged. The next problem, as I was taping the other long seam of the window, the tape ran out, about 8 inches short of finishing the job. I had measured before ordering and knew 5 yards (15ft) would be enough with a few inches to spare. So I got out my tape measure and measured all of the tape, and there was less than 14ft. instead of the 15ft. that I paid for. Now I have a gap, so there is no seal and I'm out nearly 30 bucks. I'm leaving to go camping today with rain in the forecast, awesome! The tape itself is probably fine as long as you can complete the seal. I will also add that you should make sure you get it wide enough for the job. I was covering a one inch wide piece of trim. I got the two inch strip thinking it would give me a half inch on each side of the trim to make the seal. This was fine as long as I was perfectly straight, but the few spots where I got a little off center, leaving a little less tape to seal over the lip of the trim, has peeled up. When I get this again (from somewhere else), I'll get the 2.5 inch tape.

bought this tape to seal the joints in my irregularly shaped polycarbonate sunroom roof. it's thick, tough and VERY adhesive, extremely difficult to remove; exactly what i was looking for. will it withstand the changes in weather and expansion and contraction of the polycarbonate roofing? i've only had it on for about 3 months so i can't attest to that yet. time will tell. but, so far do good.
