  • So far, worth every penny
I had read all the reviews on this printer on Amazon and they were all negative. I decided to google the reviews and found a lot of reviews liking this unit. i decided to role the dice and purchase it. I am very glad I did. This is my 3rd printer and the other 2 are higher end printers than this.. There is a lot more assembly to this printer but i understood that when I ordered it. If you follow the latest online assembly guide on there website as instructed and pay attention to the pictures more that the words, it will be less confusing. I assembled the unit, put power to it and Bingo, away it went. It printed both the test pieces in the sd card with zero problems, you do have to manually level the bed but no big deal. I did more research and found you should not use a version of CURA beyond 4.1 for this machine to function correctly. They even provide the profiles for the printer for Cura that you can import and for the most part, walk you through the process of installing them. I then loaded one of my designs and sliced it with Cura 4.1 and had it print. It did a great job with the not so great spool of PLA they provided with the printer. I have completed several prints using the Cura 4.1 and so far no issues. I will tell you that for a $150 printer, it does a better than expected job for a no frills unit. The print area is bigger than one of my other printers and can print an approximate 12x12x12 print with ease. Pros - inexpensive no frills printer that works - Printer was packaged very well and arrived in perfect shape - As long as you don't use any version above Cura 4.1, it works fine - Large printing area Cons - Leveling nuts are very small but if you order a better set with the printer (around $10) you can install them while you assembling the printer and becomes a non issue. - Sample filament (PLA) is wound poorly and could hang up causing the print to fail - Vertical guide rods are thin but work fine (wobble a bit but does not see to affect the print) All in all it is a great first inexpensive printer. Have not tried to do serious detail prints on it but the standard prints come out fine. As long as you take your time assembling the printer and be aware of the software versions, you should have no real issues with this budget printer. Seems some people are expecting a high end printer for a very low end price. What you actually get is a good printer for a very low end price. ... show more

  • Simply does not cooperate
This machine is either defective or theu are just a terrible desig . We have over 40 printers from all makes and manufacturers and none are perfect, every one of them requires me to wrench on them from Normal use so I decided to give this one a try, I needed 1 more larger print surface for a project this was cheaper and arrive fast so that I could add it into production to complete my project.... that was 3 weeks ago. It first arrived with broke. Sensors so it would not home for tramming. Customer service was absolutely fantastic and spent allot if time with me going over the initial problems. Go the problems all sorted and identified then waited a week for the replacement parts. Theu went above and beyond with the parts I was truly happy. I replaced all that I needed to and it finally homed. Yay. I trammed with they're bed leveling in the firmware. The wheels to adjust the bed are super small and hard to get to finally got it where it looked great. Tried my first print and it was so far away from the bed I could stick my finger under it. So I leveled manually. Same exact thing. I tried everything I know and looked up on videos of this and nothing worked. It has not printed anything at all so far. Not one print. Except my master piece noodle design. Very unhappy. I would not recommend spending the money on this just to have it sit on the table. Although the aluminum look if it is very nice to look at. It's useless. ... show more

  • Does a lot for the price, just not as fast as some.
The media could not be loaded. This printer is basic, but it includes all the necessary features and is easily upgradeble. I have printed several full sized helmets with it so far, including one in TPU. The print quality is decent. It is NOT fast however. The large bed means that you cannot accelerate the y axis very fast or it causes the stepper motor to skip steps, there is just too much mass. However, this is true of any printer that uses a mobile bed y-axis, not just this machine. So, if you're patient, and just want a printer with a large build volume for a great price, this is a great way to get started. I've used Prusa, Markforged and Stratasys machines before, and even so, I'm satisfied with this one. ... show more

  • Hard to figure out
It took me a few tries to get it to print right but after it was a cool buy

  • At lest its good for parts
I've had 2 of these sent to me and neither one worked. The first one has irreparable Y axis shift which I narrowed down to a bad stepper driver on the mainboard. The second one (sent to replace the first one) wouldn't print at all. The bearings are a joke, especially on the 2020 Y rail. Just two plastic pads. It makes a lot a noise, especially squeaking noises from the garbage bearings. The usable parts are the frame, the power supply, and the heated bed. Everything else would likely need to be replaced unless you're lucky enough to get a working one... But even if you do, it won't stay working for long given how low quality the bearings are... So unless your looking to use this to upgrade an existing system, its not worth buying... Otherwise, it is cheaper to buy this for parts than to buy the parts separately. It's a sad thing too, because they put a lot of attention to detail on some areas of the printer. Too bad that they cheaped out on it elsewhere. ... show more

  • It has potential
The media could not be loaded. Not the best quality, but enough to work with. This will need some mods, here is what I added to mine: -Flexible build plate -New bed springs and new knobs -Bowden clips I also had to rethread the hot end to make Ender 3 extrusion tips fit because the threading on the hot end is none standard (impossible to find tips for). If you're on a budget and willing to play around with this printer, you might enjoy it. ... show more
