I thumbed through and saw some basic yet inspiring designs and instructions for someone who is new to 3D printing. Got it for my 29 yr old son along with an Ender 3D 5 printer. So I have not used the book or the printer myself, but it looks like it would work with many different kinds of intro 3D printers. It does seem to start out with creating your own basic designs to print (challenging) and I would imagine some people will start with many of the pre-designed prints first, and it does look like the book gets into that. Remember there are also many designs (intro to advanced) that you can download and print. Some free and some for pay. As found on thingiverse dot c om and other sites. :) ... show more

The target audience seems to be new users, and to that end, it seems like a decent book, reasonably well written, and it has information to help the new 3D printing/design enthusiast get started, but there's nothing in this book that couldn't be figured out for free by doing some basic research into 3D printers and by going through the Tinkercad intro tutorials. ... show more

Many great projects to create and very easy for students to follow along. The step-by-step directions were easy for high school students to follow on their own. Even a teacher with no experience in 3D design can use this book in class.
