I’ve put these in two guitars so far. One body was oak and the other is an unknown wood that is very soft. Drill your holes just slightly smaller than the barrel of these and they will hold just fine in any wood. I tap them in with a ball peen hammer. The self center as the go in. Looks to be the exact same as the ones that came in my guitar. Holding them side by side with the originals they appear identical. Lost a few from a Jackson 7 string.

I was happy to see these srting ferrules being offered in bulk. However, they're just a bit too small for a standard sized Fender USA Telecaster. The ferrules simply fall into the string holes. Bummer.
