The wick was not seated correctly, causing it to not burn much, if at all. The candle burned itself out after just a couple of minutes. Additionally, the candle burned extremely unevenly, and had nearly no throw. I could barely smell it when it was lit even when right next to it. Refunded. Won't buy these candles again. ... show more

I'm not sure what figs and bamboo are supposed to smell like. This is a nice, fresh scent that reminds me almost of a laundry detergent. It burns evenly. There is only one wick.

I’m not totally loving the smell but this is simply my opinion. I’m trying to find the best way to describe the smell because I honestly don’t know what bamboo or fig leaf are supposed to smell like. Maybe sort of pine-y? It sort of reminds me of a household cleaner, which I guess is either good or bad depending on your taste. Personally, I gravitate towards a fruity or light smell and this didn’t immediately appeal to my taste. I’m not sure I would opt to get this again. When lit, it’s not too overpowering. It’s on the smaller size for a candle of this cost (IMO). Not the most helpful review… it’s just very hard to describe. ... show more

It smelt great, but it burnt so fast, and it burnt uneven burnt all the way to the side of the glass and I have all this wax and it went all the way down to the bottom terrible candle wouldn’t suggest it. There’s better ones out there for that price.

truthfully, I've yet to light it. There's nothing appealing to me about the scent of figs. Bamboo is wood. Figs + wood. I'll donate it to charity.

    • Nice Sweet Scent and Clean Burning
This is a nice sized (40 hour, I think) candle with a pleasant, sweet scent. It burns without soot, thank goodness. I like glass candles because they feel safer than a pillar, although I still use them on a plate. I've burned this several times now and it is burning evenly. I don't know what Bamboo Fig Leaf should smell like, but to me, it is more like a food scent than a "green" scent. It's in a nice jar that I will save for pencils or some other use, since it is too nice to discard. ... show more
