The media could not be loaded. Premium quality build, easy to install, access to all ports, tripod/selfie stick screw which can convert to action cam mount. Because of the quality build it adds a little more weight to carry around but it’s much better than nothing and feels so good in the hand.

I love this cage. To save a little bit of money vs the X4 utility frame from insta, this provides all of the same features. Two cold shoes, 2 1/4-20, and the action cam mount ears that magnetically stay in place when not in use. The best thing about this one is that you do not have to remove the camera to replace the battery. All slots, ports, and buttons are accessible with the cage mounted. I did knock off one star for the way the camera is secured in the cage... I think something similar to the OEM frame would have been a better feature than a thumb screw however, it works and hold the camera in the cage tightly. If you want to save a little bit of money and forego the frustration of removing the camera every time you have to change the battery or remove the sd card... go with this cage!

The case is sturdy. I feel like it will protect my camera IF I accidentally drop it. The screen protector fits the x4 screen perfectly. Highly recommended if you want a case for your x4.

The perfect cage for the Insta360 X4. The skeletonized aluminum frame keeps the weight minimal, and the machining looks very good. Cold shoe mounts both accept lights, microphones, and other accessories. The lens guard can be attached in either direction, and covers the lenses completely. The GoPro mount works well, they fold away when not in use, and there's magnets to hold them in place . I could get some slight movement when applying moderate pressure, but not enough that I think there's a problem. Both tripod threads were cut accurately, and worked as they should. This cage came with 2 high quality screen protectors. I put one of them on, and I had no issues with it. It's the small details that set this cage apart from the others, and the reason I'll be using this one.

Let me start by saying I have the Insta360 x3 and recently acquired the x4. I don't have a photo at the moment to share because it had to be returned due to a misaligned stitch line. However, I did try this case on just before returning and it is a perfect fit. Not only does this provide protection against bangs and drops, it can help with heat distribution. The battery compartment and USB ports are easily accessible and I'm pretty certain this will not interfere with the audio accessory. I like the fact it can be used with either a GoPro style mount by flipping the tabs on the bottom down, or a standard 1/4 tripod mount. I use a Falcam quick release and it fit perfectly when I tested it. This is not a cheap accessory, but it is definitely cheap insurance for your investment. All that and it looks great on the camera. fully recommended. I will post a photo when my replacement x4 arrives...assuming it doesn't have the same stitching problem as the first two models I've had to return. Fingers crossed.
