These are great for wood crafts. They are thin but wonderful to test DYI projects on prior to using more expensive wood. I have used these for name plates that are layered and they are perfect. I use these plywood sheets for laser engraving on a CO2 laser. These sheets deliver consistent, clean cuts and engraves. I have been lasering for four years, and these are the best sheets I have found so far. Great product.

They are very good for the small craft projects with our laser engraver. Some came bent but very slightly, nothing to not use the board. Very good for the price paid. They 3mm and are the perfect size for our projects.

    • Does not cut well with a laser

I've been trying quite a lot of different brands of Basswood sheets and these seemed like a good deal (quantity for the money) however they cut horribly! Finish and flatness are good but what you can't see is how each layer is glued together or if there are any internal knots which can really affect how a laser cuts. I have my 30 watt laser dialed in for cutting 3mm ply and even cutting the speed in half I end up with cuts that don't completely penetrate of cut through. I have gone through 12 sheets of this 36 pack and every sheet had cut issues. I switched over to another brand of basswood and have no problems with it which leads me to believe that there is something internal (glue or knots) that make this wood unsuitable for laser cutting. I've had to run 2 passes on this wood to get clean cuts (doubling my time). At first I thought my laser was not calibrated for the thickness of the wood but checked that, cleaned my lense, slowed my cut speed, increased power and still had issues with it. Went to a different brand with my standard setting and have no problems which leads me to believe there's an issue with the wood. If you're looking to use this with a laser cutter I would not recommend it. ... show more
