I travel for work. 2 days out of the week I am out of town and I wanted to minimize my travel kit to one bag. Instead of a suit case. I thought I would have to make decisions on leaving some things behind because I thought it was going to be smaller. And I couldn't be more wrong. This bag holds a crazy enough of stuff. So I have my clothes, a towel, a tablet, notebook, steam deck, back up batteries, a 60 percent mechanical keyboard, and even an electric blanket. I even have few odds and ends that I did not name specifically like toiletries. And all of that stuff fits. It's a tight fit but I am amazed by the utilization of the space here. It is well built and I love the compression feature on the clothes. My only complaint is that it could use another compression strap on the top and bottom to really squish down the clothes to save space. Great quality on the materials, the zippers are not binding even though they are stretched pretty well and the way it opens up is amazing. I cannot give enough praise to how well thought out the design was for this bag. A couple notes in case anyone cares, I drive to work so I do not know how well this will fit on the plane. This bag is great. Excellent quality, lots of compartments, lots of storage space. The 45L bag is very long and does NOT fit under the seat of a plane, so if you intend to use it as a carry-on, be mindful that when fully packed this bag is the same size as a carry on suitcase and must be stored in an overhead bin. When traveling with this bag and a carry-on Suitcase, i have been instructed that I must check one of the bags. Sometimes I've made it through with both, but it's a gamble. When fully packed it can also be VERY heavy, so unless you are very strong, the 35L is probably a better bet, especially if the intention is to use this as a carry-on. ... show more

After finding out that my airlines charges even for a carry-on bag I decided to purchase this backpack to get around those fees and it worked. This bag just fits the specs they have for backpack sizes with no fees applied. For me, the bag fit enough for a weekend getaway (3 days of clothes) and saved me $80 in luggage fees. It can expand to fit quite a bit more than what I took, but if I do that, it won't fit in the "luggage size template" that the airlines use. Maybe next time I'll try to push it a bit to see how far I can expand it and still not get stopped by the luggage carry-on police. Definitely worth the money for those quick weekend getaways. Going to try and be as honest as possible, I wanted to love it and while I do LIKE it, I'm really torn on this backpack. The pros: it's huge, however that's also the con. It looks HUGE when wearing it extended, so big that I was afraid to wear it onto a Spirit flight (they're NAZIS when it comes to bag checking). When fully extended this thing is amazingly large and basically a strap-on carryon (lol). But that's exactly what it looks like, like someone took a carryon bag and put shoulder straps on it, I'm sure if you get the wrong gate attendant they'll promptly try to make you pay for the bag. My only experience with it thus far was 1 weekend trip to Florida (Fri-Sun) and it fit everything effortlessly. 2 Pair of shorts, 2 pairs of trunks, 4 Tshirts, a button up, extra pair of shoes, underwear, undershirts & socks for 3 days, my Bose headphones, toiletry bag as well as other small Knick knacks (chargers etc). I did "compress" it as much as I could and that was a tall task. Trying to pack it in it's extended form and then trying to compress it with the side straps and zipper (usually very easy with a regular carryon) is almost impossible. I repacked it in it's non-extended form and basically forced the bag shut that way. It did hold up nicely, but the bag is also a lot heavier than standard backpacks, something to also think about, my wife would likely not want to carry this bag on her back, especially extended. Few more things, the water bottle pocket on the side, while nice to have, is useless if the bag is full. The front pockets, also when the bag is full, are practically useless as well, unless you're putting very small or flat things in them like passports, wallet, maybe a cell phone, I'm used to putting my Bose in the front pocket, not happening here. The bag has a ton of pockets, but I think they're overkill. Thus why my conclusion is TORN. I recently went on a 2 day trip to Philly and decided to go with my regular backpack, which also held 2 days worth of clothes fine, while slightly more compressed I found it much more convenient and MUCH lighter. What this bag will do is hold a lot of things, I do think I could easily pack for a 4 day trip (depending on time of year, winter might be more difficult for obvious reasons). It's EASY to pack due to it's features being very similar to a carryon bag and it will hold your things neatly. What the bag is also, as mentioned above, heavy and very big, especially when extended. I did get on the spirit flight no problem, but again it was NOT extended. My wife did make several comments on how big and somewhat ridiculous this bag looks on my back and I'm 5'11, 190lbs. Not sure how helpful this review is for (you) the reader, but I tried to be as honest as can be. I will likely use the bag and not return it, but only when I really need to. For my quick 2 day trips, I'll likely continue to use my other backpack. ... show more

    • The best travel bag I've had so far.

Traveled out of the country for a week. Perfect size to fit as an overheard carry on. I never tried below the sit since i was so well packed, i knew it wouldnt fit. With no option to wash clothes, I needed to make sure I could fit enough clothes to change as necessary. I used travel bags for clothes to compress their space which allowed the bags to fit properly in the main compartment. I used maybe half of the front compartment capacity for accessories and hygiene products. That's anywhere from a large external battery and charging cables, a thick paperback book, outlet adapter, preventative meds, vitamins and first aid kit. The bag was heavy after packing but the straps and back support made the bag rather comfortable to wear for a while. Durability held up for the week. No issues with zippers snagging or fabric getting caught. The bag wasn't exposed to water so I can't say how resistant it was. I would buy more of these for the rest of my family if they decide to upgrade their current bags. ... show more
