These are very nice disposable forks, for the price. I had been purchasing the cheapest forks that I could find at the local discount store to use for lunches at work. However, I kept breaking them or even biting off the end of a few tines, as they were very cheap and thin. I guess I get a little too excited when lunch comes around! I wouldn't say extra heavy. Can't cut with them very well. Tines broke when trying to cut with them. Not good for cooking, melt easily from the heat of a saute pan. Fine for picnics and with the quantity, we were able to use multiples if needed.
