For Halloween treat bags!
Love the different colors, can be tied I. A knot as shown in description! Child friendly for sure, kids will love finding it in their Halloween gift bag. Size seems a little thinner than a regular size pencil, but perfect for little fingers! Easy to sharpen . Can be used for play or writing.

Pay attention teachers!!
Hear me out! I’m giving these pencils five stars even though they write horribly and they are almost impossible to sharpen. I teach fifth grade and no matter how I mark my “emergency borrow” pencils the students walk off with them. Not anymore! These pencils can barely write. It’s also very hard to grip them. The students hate to borrow them and the certainly don’t want to keep them so they always return them. I love them!!!

Good party toy, not good writing tool
Purchased these for a class party. The kids loved to play with them because of the flexibility. However, as a parent, I regard it as a party toy, rather than a usable stationary. The outer layer which gives its flexibility feels like rubber, making it difficult to sharpen. And the bendable nature of the pencil makes it very difficult to write with.

Cute but Completely Useless
I purchased the Haawooky 35-Piece Flexible Pencils hoping they would be a fun, novelty item that my students could still use for simple writing or drawing. While they are undeniably darling and come in bright, vibrant colors that appeal to children, they are severely lacking in functionality. The Honest Breakdown: Aesthetics (Darling!) The pencils look great! They are colorful, unique, and instantly capture a child's attention. Perfect for party favors or classroom prizes. Useless! They are way too flimsy to write with any meaningful pressure. The lead bends and breaks easily, and trying to sharpen them is an exercise in frustration. Grip & Feel The pencils are super skinny, which makes them extremely difficult for both kids and adults to grip properly. Combined with the flimsiness, it makes trying to write a straight line impossible. Material Quality The material is fine for bending, but the overall quality is cheap. They feel exactly like a prize you'd get from a coin-operated machine, appealing to the eye, but designed to break or be ineffective. Bottom Line These pencils are comparable to putting a quarter in a gumball machine that contains cheap toys that look appealing but don't work. If you are buying these for goodie bags, party favors, or purely as a non-functional toy for fidgeting, they might be worth the novelty. However, if you are purchasing these for actual school use, homework, or as a functional writing tool, save your money. They are too flimsy and skinny to be used effectively, leading only to frustration for both students and teachers. Stick to traditional pencils for classroom use.

Cute gift, fun for kids
It's a little tricky to sharpen these but they were a hit as party favors and teacher gifts.

Cute, great for novelty gifts and really works
Cute, surprisingly good quality for a novelty item. Can even be sharpened in an electric sharpener if you're careful, and works and erases very well for its price point

Cheap novelty pencils
The flexible part is true. These pencils can be tied in a knot, but be aware. As soon as the end near the eraser is flexed, the eraser and metal surrounding part pop off.
