If you are getting a stainless sink then go with the 18 gauge thickness. It will make a difference when you mount the faucet as well as standing up to the inevitable items being accidentally dropped into it. This is a very nice looking sink. I like the two different sizes. The larger size seems huge to me but that's probably a good thing for cleaning a turkey or other large items like a stew pot. The comparison to the same type of sink at the "Big Box" stores only made me like it more. Some of the other sinks ran up to nearly $400.00 in price. The installation was as expected but I did add a few more clips to hold it down tight. I had previously bought a Rubbermaid 15" White Dishpan, 15.6 Qt, 15.23" x 12.46" x 7.8" from Amazon which happens to fit the smaller sink perfectly. I highly recommend it if you need a dishpan for this sink. I just installed the sink so I can't speak to the long term usage but I'm very happy with it so far. ... show more

Only came with one drain basket. Assume because user might have a disposal. I had no disposal so I found an identical basket on Amazon by Serene Valley. The installation screws and brackets are poor so I bent the brackets more so they would grip better.

    • You will not find a better surface mount stainless steel sink period.
Style: w/ Strainer
18 gauge stainless steel makes for a solid quality sink, combind the quality workmanship at this price and it cannot be beat. Word of caution, if you are replacing a cast iron ceramic covered sink or one with covered with a poly carbonate synthetic covering then you will most likely need to trim the opening in the countertop. I had to take off between 3/4 to 1/4 an inch on all sides to keep it centered. If you are replacing a stainless steal 33x22" sink you may get by without having to trim the opening. A new install is actually a better option than trimming an existing hole. Do not try and remove the side rails that receive the clips, they reinforce the edges and if you can, you will want to use a few retaining clips and caulk the outer rim when installing, this will insure a strong and secure installation. You may be able to get away with just using a large bead of silicon around the ledge if the sink fits nicely in the whole and is level, however if possible use some clips, they are fairly easy to install. Also make sure the dishwasher drain hose loops higher than the sink drain, now is a good time to correctly reroute the hose with the sink out. Installed in basement and fit not as critical fit as kitchen. Nice sheet metal, but need better quality control for seating surface. Great value for the money and would purchase again.
