If you can get past the strong unpleasant odor of two pairs of included work gloves that smell like they’ve been soaked in a week’s worth of cigarette “juice,” you’ll see that this is an impressive home tool kit. (Just be sure to throw those gloves in the washing machine right away! They truly reek!) The kit is impressive if for no other reason than it contains so many tools: 326 to be exact. But not only that, it’s also the sheer variety of tools that’s impressive. Everything in this kit is USEFUL. Now, don’t expect the quality of popular name-brand tools; but don’t expect crap quality either. All the tools CAN be used and used effectively by the homeowner or the DIYer. But I take exception with the description saying a (professional) handyman could effectively use this kit. I’ve been a handyman in my day, and he or she will require higher quality tools that can be used regularly and “aggressively,” tools that can take regular abuse. The tools in this kit are NOT those kinds of tools. These tools are for the person who only uses tools occasionally, like for fixing a toilet malfunction; or tightening up a screw here or there; or who needs some electrical tape to make a very minor electrical repair; or who needs to hang a picture on the wall. I might be “selling” these tools a bit short in terms of their capabilities, but I don’t think by much. This kit is perfect for the homeowner or renter who needs some tools occasionally but doesn’t really care about using them all that much. But it does contain the vast majority of the types of tools for the types of fixes a homeowner or renter will face. And that’s saying quite a bit. Just remember to get those stinky gloves out and wash them!

This is definitely the type of set you keep in your kitchen for light repairs around the house. I like that it has a nice, wide variety of tools, most of what you need to get the everyday task done. The quality is so-so and it’s durable enough for light work. Because you get so much along with a nice tool case, the value is decent. But you may also consider splurging a little more for a slightly better quality / or pay less for a good quality but less tools.

There is nothing professional in this kit; it is all entry-level quality equipment. However, as a starter set for our nephew who is just moving into his own rented apartment, it was an amazing gift. Everything he will need for the basic things he will end up doing. I have also purchased a second set for the trunk of my car, the price was good, and it has everything I could need in an emergency.

Very low quality. The number of “pieces” is highly exaggerated because of disposable bits like zip ties a screws. The tools are dollar store quality like the screwdrivers and pliers, and the entire kit is a very low durability vacuum for molded plastic thing that is easily damaged. This might be the kind of thing you would give to a female friend just to have some stuff around that you know won’t really be used that often, but I wouldn’t give these tools to anybody that I liked. I would rather give someone a couple of good screwdrivers in a pair of pliers than a whole set of junk and this is a set of junk.

This tool kit has just about everything I need for small fixes around the house. The screwdriver set and pliers have come in handy multiple times, and the storage case keeps everything organized. The mini flashlight is a nice touch, though I had to supply my own batteries. The glue gun works well for small projects, but don’t expect anything heavy-duty. The tools are decent quality for light household use, but not something a pro would rely on. If you need a simple kit for quick repairs, this does the trick.
