My mom told me about this oil too preserves the wood in my apartment and wood on art pieces I was creating. This stuff works great you don't need a lot of it it is water resistant the coverage is good it does have a slight smell but nothing intolerable and the Finish is very nice once you let it dry. I would recommend it

I do not like the labeling on the bottle it looks cheaply printed. The tung oil itself was fine, seems pure. Applied well with a regular brush on raised bed garden wood.

This stuff is amazing. I wanted something to put on the wood for my veggie garden. We ended up doing two coats and they look perfect. It does take a little while to dry, but it is so worth it to know that there are not chemicals leaching into my food.

We redid our kitchen and put butcher block countertops throughout. I knew I wanted a food grade oil or finisher to put on top of the wood and this is a great choice for the price. It’s the best price per ounce I saw anywhere. The last few months our countertops have been holding up well and resistant to water due to this tung oil. I’m not eating off my countertop, but knowing it’s food safe is a great reassurance. The tongue oil takes your butcher block from light and washed out to a warm honey color. It was very easy to use. The smell does linger, though, for several days after use. It’s not a bad smell, but very unique and fairly strong. I plan to use this tung oil every six months or so to add another coat to my countertops to unsure longevity.
