The media could not be loaded. I tried putting this on my bamboo plywood ceiling slats and made two BIG mistakes. 1. I used a sponge brush - ended up with a coat of bubbles! 2. I put it on too thick, did too many slats at once and took too long to wipe it off 😝 I ended up wiping it all back down with turpentine and steel wool and then sanded every slat down to bare wood again! In the second round, I decided that just staining the bamboo was plenty good. So I while I cannot tell you how well this stuff works, I will say, if I did it again I would just apply a thin coat on your wood with with fine steel wool and then within 2-3 mins max, wipe off the excess with a clean rag. If I was putting this on softer, more porous wood, I suppose it could have been more effective… but I’d still make sure to apply lighter coats with steel wool - no brush or sponge needed NOR recommended!! 🥸 ... show more

This oil seems to do the job. I applied it to a kitchen cart that I will be using for my plants. It does have a slight smell when first applied but the smell fades fairly quickly. It brings out the grain in the wood and looks nice. I would say it does not change the color of the wood but there are different types of wood so I can only say I did not notice a change with my project. I applied a coat with a brush, waited awhile, and then wiped it off with a soft absorbent cloth. I applied two coats and it took 3-4 days to really feel dry after each application, but I did do it in a cool basement. The first picture shows one board before applying the oil and the other board (top one in picture) had one coat of oil applied. A little of the oil goes a long way. ... show more

I bought this to seal my above ground planter. I didn't want to paint or seal it with chemicals because it's for vegetables. I found this food safe oil. I used 3 coats all over the wood. Not only did it waterproof the wood, It made it look 100 times better! The only issue is the strong odor. Use this outside. The smell goes away after it's dry. ... show more
