Plug fit my show 15 firm, unfortunately my show 15 was dead. I did try this one on my show 8 and it worked it fine (if I had realized they used the same adapter for that generation, I would have tried it before ordering). Seems to be of similar feel and quality as original

"Close, but no cigar."
The original factory power cord that came with my Echo Show 8 I bought in 2022 decided to take a hike on me after just one year. (Would have thought it would have lasted longer that that, but different subject.) Guess it didn't care for my taste in music. Worked when I went to bed one night, didn't when I woke up. Went on Amazon and found this one on sale at a very good price, the little "Amazons Choice" black banner underneath it, so figure I was squared away. Not quite. The problem is that the "barrel" connector that plugs in back of my Echo Show 8 is too short and much too thick in circumference to fit all the way into the Echo properly. Only goes in about 1/2 way so it never makes a snug connection. Almost every time you move or touch it hard, the cord falls out. So it's back to Amazon to buy a different power cord and will return this when I'm sure the next one works. ... show more
