I bought a refurbished echo show that came with a white cable and its driven me nuts to have that white cable showing, so I picked this up to replace it. Works just fine, not much else to say really.

This charger works great on my Echo Show 8, the materials are sturdy and of good quality. The power specifications exactly match the original Amazon charger therefore I had no concerns plugging it to my device. I use this as a spare charger since I have the original one on a fixed set up in my home office, with multiple cables laid and tied wrapped. This additional charger gave me the flexibility to move my Eco Show around when needed in other areas such as the backyard when having gatherings. As I've seen from other reviews, I agree that the black color is a nice touch for black Echo Shows such as mine, since the original white one does mismatch - not ideal when the cable is highly visible. ... show more

    • "Close, but no cigar."
The original factory power cord that came with my Echo Show 8 I bought in 2022 decided to take a hike on me after just one year. (Would have thought it would have lasted longer that that, but different subject.) Guess it didn't care for my taste in music. Worked when I went to bed one night, didn't when I woke up. Went on Amazon and found this one on sale at a very good price, the little "Amazons Choice" black banner underneath it, so figure I was squared away. Not quite. The problem is that the "barrel" connector that plugs in back of my Echo Show 8 is too short and much too thick in circumference to fit all the way into the Echo properly. Only goes in about 1/2 way so it never makes a snug connection. Almost every time you move or touch it hard, the cord falls out. So it's back to Amazon to buy a different power cord and will return this when I'm sure the next one works. ... show more
