This craft box is advertised as being for ages 4 - 12. There is a huge difference in a 4 year old and a 12 year old child's abilities. The scissors in the box are the safety type that you give to a very young child. But some of the the items are very tiny and will be difficult for very young children to manipulate. I would probably say the box is ideal for a 7-10 year old child. It comes with a lot of small craft supplies like beads, feathers, jewels, buttons, stickers, etc. Each one counts towards the 3000 number of included supplies. The box is filled with stuff and looks impressive when you open it. It is made of rather cheap plastic and mine had to have part of the plastic trays snapped back together when I first received it. But it works as a 'fishing' style box and when you lift the lid, the inner trays raise up and show you everything inside. It won't take a lot of abuse, but it will work as a kids storage box for their craft supplies as long as they treat it kindly. It's a cute little item that would make a nice gift. It currently has a coupon and with that, it is a reasonable price. I would buy it for someone at the right age group.

I like to keep crafting supplies in my home for when we have family or friends over with young children. The items in this kit added great variety to the items I already had. If you are wondering how they fit 3000 items into this tackle type box, a lot of the supplies are tiny (beads, wiggle eyes, buttons, etc.) and each one is counted. The exact count of each is stated in the description on Amazon. The little instruction booklet was great to get the children started with a project, but once they started their imaginations took over and they each did their own thing. There were crafts that children from the ages of 4 -12 could do, but what the youngest in that age group could do was limited and rather than the oldest children making their own craft, they were more interested in helping the youngest with theirs. So, this is a wonderful kit with a variety of items, and it was a wonderful addition to the craft supplies I had.

This turned out to be a wonderful choice. It has a lot of different crafts that work very well with each other to create all lot of fun interesting craft ideas. All the materials are very colorful and well made to really be a lot of fun creating. The storage box is also a very nice touch for keeping all the materials well maintained and organized. I think this is a good value and would make a very thoughtful gift idea for crafters.

I agree with another reviewer that, while this craft set is great, it's not geared as much for 12 year olds. It also is VERY difficult to fit everything back into the tacklebox once opened, which was a bit frustrating. We did have a lot of fun with the gem stickers, pipe cleaners, and the pom poms. The included pipe cleaner craft guide was fun, but also not a step-by-step guide if you're expecting that... more of an inspiration book lol. I do still think it's a good value and a nice starting set!

The media could not be loaded. This arts and crafts kit is a great start to get your little ones interested in being creative. With everything from pipe cleaners to construction paper, this box has it all. The box works in a similar way to a tackle box and once emptied, it can be used to store other things or even refilled at a hobby store. The color of the purple bottom with a clear top is engaging to the eye.

The design of this set is fantastic. I love that it opens like a tacklebox, but it's full of individually packaged crafting supplies. My daughter is in her crafting era so this assortment was perfect for us. The only reason I hated it 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the price- I honestly think the quality of the supplies makes this worth under $20, not around $25. If you catch it on sale, it's worth it for $20 or less.
