I am a long time art educator and purchased this set of hexagon tiles for a project in my class. We were able to draw with acrylic pen, markers on top. And paint or glue and embellish each tile. I like the hexagon shape because they could be displayed as one, or you can connect to seen from each side. In art, there is a project called the hexagon project, and my students were able to all create their own design based around a theme yet when displayed together they were connected. It comes with cork backing’s that are easy to attach. And we left some plain or applied an acrylic primer to preserve some of the drawings. I personally left mine on sealed as I wanted to use it for a coaster, and the areas left undecorated wicks away the moisture. I did not have any tiles break in shipment. Not a bad price, but most of my coasters were cracked or had chunks missing from them. This company might need to update their packaging.
